The Emirates FA Cup 5th Round ** Spoilers ** [28th Feb - 3rd March 2025]

We should have won it in extra time really, we had opportunities but didn't take them.
Yep. Fulham were poor. We were United which is also poor. The team really is a mess and little of it is Amorim's fault. He should however not be scared to play the kids.
Lindelof, Eriksen, Evans, Casemiro really need to be phased out - they won't be here after the summer and the young players need game time without too much pressure.

De Ligt probably our best player today. I'd play him, Yoro and Heaven when possible or at least give them 45 minute slots. With those three we will be further up the pitch and not so exposed on the transition. Bruno did ok in CM today but he has too much to do in there. Ugarte seems to get hooked a lot - injury, stamina, discipline?

I actually thought we looked a bit better today, but still quite poor.

Amorim doesn't look remotely surprised that we're out. Nor am I.

Edit :: we're away in Spain on Thursday night vs Real Sociedad, then Arsenal on Sunday afternoon. Could be rough.

As said you knew Lindelof was going to fluff it when he stepped up, wrong person on the pen I feel at least save him until last if required.

Didnt get to see most of the game as at work, but it was flat as a pancake from what I see.

Same old turd oh well at least there less games to play now, which means less watching this shower of crap.

Antonee Robinson had another good game. Surely a big move for him in the summer. Got a good 4 years left in him at a top level

Yep he played well. Never looked flustered in any situation.

Man U might sign him on 4576K a week with a 20 year contract.

Jokes aside, decent player.

Amorin gotta be heading out the door end of this season surely, utd were bad before but he's taken them even further back
You have to understand, their squad is no better than the Ipswich squad it's not his fault... just ignore that the longer he's there the worse they look. I mean the poor lad hasn't even had a training session with them yet.

Didn't think Robinson looked anything special honestly. Was looking forward to watching him.

Yeah he was pretty poor today, didn't get forward much even though we didn't really attack down the right. Bassey was pretty damn good though

120 minutes of football for Newcastle without a goal in open play an injury to Isak and Gordon to miss the final. Wonderful!

Not worried about Gordon missing the final. Barnes is there and Gordon has been hot and cold this season. Barnes is the far better finisher by a country mile.

I be more worried about how our defence just bends over and gets rammed. How many sloppy balls out of back line went straight to Brighton without any pressure?

Hall is also away to see a specialist :/

I heard someone on a podcast today say Newcastle's chances of winning the FA are now the same as those of winning the league cup :(

We just have to keep getting into finals and hope we get a team like Tranmere

We probably still implode on the run up to the final!!
