To be honest, I didn't know what that shirt was about until someone mention Hillsborough a few posts up. I have never really taken any interest in the whole thing, it was bad what happened don't get me wrong, but upon seeing it I didn't associate it with Hillsborough.
I guess that makes me a bad person according to some on here.

Same tbh. Tragedy’s happen all across the globe, I tend not to focus on them.

Maybe it’s my age, 47, and the fact I can actually remember the Hilsborough tragedy but I find it completely alien to me that any football supporter, especially fellow Man Utd one’s (given our rivalry over the years means we’re well aware of each other’s history) wouldn’t twig on what that top meant or was meant to infer.

I know what it was alluding to I just don’t really pay it much mind. Right now as we speak people are getting killed, people have been killed by our armed forces in Iraq for example. People can be very selective about how offended they are about humans being killed.

It was sad, I wouldn’t want my loved ones going through it but I’m not going to spend anytime worrying or being offended about it.

What an odd post. You acknowledge that you wouldn't want your loved ones to go through it but as it's not your loved ones, who cares :/

Sadly there are plenty of ****heads in the world who think it's funny to be ****heads no matter who they hurt or offend. And yes while there are worse things going on in the world, I think it's fair game for sensible people to acknowledge that a grown adult having that printed on a shirt and then thinking he's a great laugh to wear it to the match today, is a complete and utter ****.

The guy has been arrested, it's unreal.
He should be arrested but wether they can charge with something is another matter. Seriously why do people need to focus on this. If no one pointed it out and the media and social media didn’t froth, the guy could’ve been dealt with behind closed doors and the victims and families wouldn’t need to have the trauma and emotions dragged back up again.

Every man and his dog knows what it means but how do you prove it? Liverpool got 97 points and lost the title.
Playing devil's advocate, an 18 year old and/or foreigner might not know what it means.

Despite being 39, i only learnt of it in my twenties when i moved to the uk aged 15, despite being a lifelong utd fan.
