That was an accident. Akanji was going for the ball and then at the last second faked it and didn’t kick it again. Casemiro was just unlucky there.
 
City are just so well balanced.

They can keep the ball and play through you, they can counter attack, they can hoof it long.

No obvious weakness.
 
I don’t know how DDG does it. Without fail he manages to kick it to their keeper or a City player. Statistically he should occasionally find a United player.
 
Eriksen a passenger in this game so far. Really don't understand why he started. Probably because we don't have that many options but his lack of physicality is really showing.
 
Well, we haven't conceded again, and have managed to keep a lid on city for a bit.

Looking alright going forward.

You do sense that City will just plod along like this for a bit....then suddenly turn it on and Haaland's off celebrating again.

Regardless of that they are the best team by a distance. They finished first because they have a better squad of players and a great manager.

No shame in losing to them although I’d rather we didn’t.

Not much you can do about that sort of goal from Gundogan. Absolute cracker.
