I know this game is a cluster****, but I downloaded the demo today to give it a whirl. No way I would part with cash so far...

The performance as expected is appalling on 780Ti SLI (SLI not working, but that's another story I guess)

The thing really annoying me is - Using the Asus Rog Swift - Gsync does not even work! This is the ONLY game I have encountered this problem on.

Running in full screen mode, everything as it should be. Is the game really that much of a mess that it doesn't even work with Gsync???

Did you seriously expect multiple GPUs or Gsynch to work? Seriously? It's a pure console port.

Does appear though that they may be going to fix the bugs that occur in unlocked frame mode ... in which case you'd easily hit 120+FPS on one card anyway .. rendering SLI and Gsynch moot.

great. so by the time they fix the bugs the early adopters have already finished it.

Enabling vsync in a game does not knock out gsync. Nor does using a frame rate limiter such as bandicam or dxtory in my experience. Gsync overrides anything at a driver level, as long as the application is running full screen.

Since getting the swift I've tested every game I've got pretty much, and gsync just works, if the game is in full screen mode. There is no two ways about it.

This game/ demo has a full screen option in the graphics menu. It's enabled, so why is gsync not running with it?

Any other actual gsync monitor owners chip in please...

the problem is like every game based on id tech 5 it does not run in true full screen mode. more like a full screen window.

Not every frame limiter knocks it out but there are some games that use some klutz with vertical blank timing that seems to knock gsync out.

Just mentioned it incase this was the case but if its idtech5 then all bets are off.

EDIT Also possible they don't use exclusive fullscreen mode, haven't checked for that assumed it was due to the known timing issues with them.

Didn't know that so that would explain it. Thanks for that bud.

As long as I know it's the ****** game and not my monitor/gsync at fault that's good enough for me. It does say "full screen" though in the options. Shoddy stuff.

There is "fullscreen" (basically borderless window mode) and exclusive fullscreen usually just called fullscreen.

You can often tell the difference as one will alt-tab faster and usually with less issues and the other often takes awhile to alt-tab and can be prone to problems when switching back.
