Because lower league teams hardly get to see a player like that very often. So they boo him to try and put him off. I guess.

Quite unprofessional to even agree to an interview while the game is playing.
A few years ago when Damien Duff was at Newcastle I saw him in Central station and was gonna ask for his autograph, but you know when you are not 100% sure I left it, didn't want look like a clip. Anyway he had a bit of a wobble and I said to my mate at the time if Duff isn't playing it's because he is injured, turned out he had done his leg in during training couple of days before

Common sense would have allowed that.
That was ridiculous. It was basically in the net ffs, didn't gain any advantage from it.
