The FA CUP Fourth Round 27/28/29 January *** Spoilers ****

Woot Arsenal:D, good comeback after going 2 goals down...better performance in the second half and just lolworthy by Villa...giving 2 penalties away just like that.

So now we await either Sunderland or Middlesborough in the next round...bring it!!!!

If you played like you did for those 16mins in the 2nd half in the first half you would have scored a lot more.

You were playing a crap side, Which has been crap all season long.

Not sure about that, the two penalties were lol worthy, as in, not shouldn't have been given just utterly utter stupid. Ramsey had given the ball away and Dunne was just his usual self, score a goal, concede a penalty. Dunne and Ridgewell are masters of scoring and giving away a goal in the same game.

Second penalty, great run by Kos, still a penalty but closer, but I'm not remotely convinced we would have scored from the attack.

Theo's, lol, can only score with his back turned on goal and another idiot in defence with Hutton. He passed up two great passes as per usual and took completely the wrong option and got incredibly lucky.

Most other games we wouldn't have gotten anything out of it even playing like that.

Villa are a woeful team right now and we almost made them look good then were gifted at least 2 of the three goals.

The fact that our players went straight into "we've won mode" and gave up was just as worrying as how crap we were in the first half. As was Walcott's celebration a guy who can't score working on what was truly a crap celebration rather than shooting or dribbling practice....... sums up the Arsenal attitude and why we give up so many leads this season. Players only put in effort when forced, and only until they randomly think they are completely safe then shut down again.

Also, lol Sagna comes on, has one clearance to make, hoof's it in the air and comes down in a more dangerous area........ so glad we've got that back.

No **** Sherlock:eek::p...thanks for pointing that out lol.

Meh im not at all impressed with the relative ease we went 2 goals down...but instead of giving up, we scored 3 so happy with that...we arent going to win the FA cup but at least we are still in it for the time being.

McLiesh has supposedly told his press-conference that he'll be asking for the FA to take a look at RvP's elbow on Cuellar. If Lescott's elbow vs Spurs is anything to go by, he'll get let off though.

He is a bit nasty sometimes, weird thing is the ref was staring at it and even put his whistle to his mouth, definitely a yellow at least

It's a tad hard with RVP, sometimes he is a bit elbowy, its not like he's a Shearer though, but the commentator was saying it like, he's looked at him and that is proof he tried to kill him.

The vast majority of headers players look to check where their opponent is and put their arms up. There wasn't much of a swinging motion, but definate contact, I'd say a yellow for dangerous and stupid, would need to see a replay from another angle to tell if he's swung his elbow or just put his arms up to back into the player as most strikers do.

No idea how the ref didn't give it as a foul.

It's no where near as bad as Lescott's(who was running out with force and went out of his way to move sideways into him), but being the only talkworthy incident in the game unlike Lescotts.... it will get more press coverage than Lescott's did.

Walcott's celebration for his 'goal' was absolutely embarrassing, he was awful all game, it takes Hutton kicking it in to his back for him to score, and then he runs off like he's just scored a 30 yard volley.

****.

Like I said, it shows his attitude problem, what guy who hasn't scored in ages is more worried with practicing his celebration for when he next scores..... than about when he actually scores next?

His face and reaction was just "how great am I", rather than that embarrassed look decent players have when they fluke a goal.

I remember Henry basically falling into the net with the ball as it hit him in the shin iirc, and he had a whoops look on his face, didn't run off and celebrate like it was the best goal ever.

Worse is Henry was embarrassed and he did nothing wrong, just got lucky, Walcott delayed, delayed and delayed and ignored a ridiculously easy pass to RVP and a still decent option of Ox, and went for a crap shot, again.

He was awful for 70-80minutes of that game and would be generous to describe the other 10 minutes as "good", slightly less cack would be more accurate.

That also of course ignores the other little fact, that celebration itself regardless of the situation was ruddy awful, can't even get that right :p

I was swearing at Walcott because he had a man in the middle waiting for a tap in yet he elected to shoot from a 1 degree angle on the right, with his right foot, which is impossible for anyone but Rosicky (who is the best player in the world with the outside of his right foot) to score. It wasn't like Bent's goal, which was hard but manageable, he was right on the touchline plus the keeper (one of the best Prem keepers of the past decade) was still in the game. Anyway after some pinball it ends up in the net and I didn't even celebrate I was just saying how lucky he was! :)

Yup, I won't even not at all subtley mention that the pass in to Ramsey from Song I'm fairly certain took a deflection which went from being a pass behind Ramsey to infront of him then Dunne doing something utterly stupid. We were so lucky it's unbelievable, and the way we gave up completely after taking the lead was the most disturbing thing about the game while Walcott is in the Sun talking up the team's response and how good we are.

Did anyone get a slightly, odd feeling when the goals went in, Wenger seemed to after taking the lead be sitting on the bench, with his face hidden behind his stupid coat. It almost felt like he wasn't so much involved and, I don't know. He seemed so subdued after taking the lead on the bench, I wondered if there was actually some revolt in the dressing room at half time, someone stepped up, told him to shove it and shouted at the team to actually turn up in the second half.

Probably reading too much in to it but also, I guess I'm just expecting some players to eventually get so angry at Wenger it will happen at some point, so maybe it was today.

I also, firstly I love RVP, I've said how good he is and rated him I'm fairly certain long before anyone else on this forum as a truly epic player, but the commentators banging on about him being superb. Outside of two penalties he did smeg all, was rubbish in the first half and didn't do much apart from risk a red card and get two penalties, which while he scored both, are still penalties.
