The FA CUP Quarter Final ** Spoilers ** [16th - 17th March 2019]

I can't help but think Mourinho with his negative tactics would have got a result that game, Wolves basically allowed United onto them and then counterattacked.

I think you’re being a bit knee jerk there mate.

I just want the board to make a considered decision and I believe they have to consider if Ole is the long term solution. Apparently Moyes was Ferguson's choice (to be fair, why wouldn't you listen to Ferguson?), and LVG and Mourinho were also rushed short term reactions.

Solskjaer after all didn't have the best of times at Cardiff in either the Premier League or the Championship.

Really need some head banging going on. Going through a bit of a rough patch. Our form is no where near it was when we beat Arsenal and Chelsea. Players coming back from injury do not look match fit at all.
exactly too many unfit players and those that are fit just don't look on it at all

Worrying thing is that its not like they get the next 10 days off, but might re-juvenate them for the run-in - they all look out on their feet.

Well done to Wolves, fully deserved it, not downplaying their efforts at all, just really disappointed in Utd's level of performance last weekend and this one (and we have a crucial EPL game vs Wolves in very early feb that looks even more daunting )

Even in Ole's very positive run of games - the defence has still looked questionable, and Dalot is 10 times better (usually) going forward than defending. Pogba and Martial were pretty invisible all game.

It will be a miracle to make the top four....possibly Arsenal and Chelsea's Europa games may save us, but still a long shot imo

Well, he’s got to deliver either the champs league or a top 4 place to guarantee the job. Otherwise, Poch could be back on the table.

Funny how a couple of results change the entire perception of a manager.

Everyone knows that squad needs investment and work, he wasn't going to win every game.

At no point in that game did any of our players look like they wanted to win that match.
These things happen nick I'd rather loose today and get top 4 as will make buying better players easier for us there is a lot of work to be done also didn't wolves beat Chelsea aswell

Not sure that's the case at all

The squad isn't good enough, and to even get to this point within touching difference of the top four is a minor miracle - the team may now be paying for not being as fit as required and being so off the pace of the league before Ole got there

Poch hasn't won anything even with Spurs having one of the best 1st XI's in the league (albeit with little depth after that) , not 100% convinced Utd would be any better under him - and we would be ~30m or so worse off as well

I said we needed subs at 60 mins. That was obvious. Manager has to be ready to do it to try to win if plan A isnt working, which it wasn't.

Personally I've held back on the hype behind Solskjaer although I've always wanted him to succeed because of his connection and passion with the club. It's just his CV isn't the strongest.

I'm really on the fence as there has definitely been games where he has reacted tactically when we've been on the back foot. I just don't think it's clearcut as some fans make it out to be.

The club has bigger problems than just the manager. Whoever is at the helm is going to have a tough ride when expectations are so high. New additions to the squad need to really hit the spot, regardless of the manager.

Really disappointing performance from United today, Wolves were far the better side and deserved that win. Martial and Lingard didn't look fully fit, as you'd expect from players just coming back from injury, and Pogba and Rashford were well off the pace. Pogba's dip in form is particularly concerning, he was on fire for some time under Solskjaer, but he's been poor in his last six games in all competitions.

I wonder if the players are starting to struggle physically with the different playing style OGS has implemented. Under Mourinho we covered less distance and made fewer sprints per match than almost any other prem side. That has changed since OGS came in, but they're beginning to look a bit jaded as a result imo.

Surprised McTominay and Pereria aren't back in the side following their performances against PSG. Matic doesn't seem as sharp as he was pre-injury and the others coming back from injury just aren't sharp enough just yet.

New manager honeymoon period, now reverting to type. :p
