That Carroll miss is why it's unfair to judge Downing for not having many assists .

I agree with the point behind this at least. The assists stat is total BS anyway, but it has been useed wrongly against Downing this season. He has often played quite well when I have seen him and has created a fair few chances, they just haven't been converted.
