The FA CUP Semi-Finals ** Spoilers ** [23rd - 24th April 2016]

Well that was an emotional day :p

Should have had a bigger lead at half time really, some good chances.

Second half was a bit of a mess, midfield just collapsed completely. Uncharacteristic mistake from Smalling for the equaliser.

I thought Fosu-Mensah looked pretty poor all day. He made a few good challenges but some terrible mistakes (especially the really early Lukaku chance) and when he had the ball going forwards he had no idea what to do with it.

Fellaini was terrible as usual, a great finish but everything else he did was just so bad. Carrick had a pretty good game.

No coincidence that we score as soon as Herrera comes on and he's involved, utter madness that he's on the bench every game.

Martial though. Every time he touched the ball something looked like happening, just a fantastic performance from him.

I don't really understand out fullback selections this season, it's like he just picks at random. What happened to Varela? I thought he did pretty well for us and now he seems to have vanished :/
 
Corking match and it's a shame that Martial stepped up as I was looking forward to another 30 minutes of utter carnage. What a game!

I know this isn't fashionable here or anywhere else, but I thought Fellaini was brilliant! He wasn't especially mobile or technical, but he looked like something approaching the Everton Fellaini... yes that's a rare thing, but I genuinely thought he had one of his best games for Man Utd.

Agreed I thought his performance was good.

The problem we have been having in recent games (West Ham was the same) is that we completely bottle under pressure. Complete control in the first half but as soon the opposing team gets going we collapse and can not control it. Our fans today were terrible as well, the toffees really got behind the players in the second half!

I'll agree with this actually, I thought Fellaini did quite well. I never trust him to make a clean tackle, though he actually used his physicality (generally)within the rules of the game today. Obviously got one goal and probably should've had another (Jagielka hand ball) but yeah, I think he did well.

I agree with an earlier martial comment regarding it looks like something would happen whenever he got the ball. Absolutely, i've felt that way for the majority of the season. He's already our best attacker and he could go on to do wonderful things :p Plus, 93rd minute, semi final, at Wembley, such a cool finish :)
 
I watched the match but was gutted with the ending just because it robbed me & everyone else of another 30 minutes of Epic football.
Herrera tugging back then throwing himself to the ground just had to be the one that put the ball through for the late goal. I ********* Hate football as much as I ******* Love it. :p
