Truly shocking decision. I saw it and thought it was bad, then the angle from behind Gabriel and it looked worse, then the side on close up and the two footed nature and the lunge becomes more blatant.... then the freaking reverse angle showing the ref looking exactly directly at the two footed lunge, studs in, late challenge from about 5 metres and I was pretty much shocked. How the sweet jesus did the ref not give that.

Truly horrible tackle, Deeney very lucky not to be badly injured. Ref isn't getting any big games any time soon, or shouldn't. One of the single most obvious red cards I've seen this year.

Seriously, WTF is Robbie Savage on.

Supposedly Gabriel should be sent off for a clean sliding tackle. I used to like him as a Rovers fan, but he really makes it difficult.

Literally everyone else, everyone but you, thinks Gabriel should be off... sorry, you and the ref. Gabriel without any question should be off.

Ah, I've just seen the challenge you're probably referring to ... lol, yes thats a red.

Im talking about the challenge in the corner.

I think savage said that one in the corner was fine, but still reckless as he could easily have missed the ball and he was talking about it in relation to the red he should have absolutely have had by then.

If you missed that first tackle it's understandable. If you watch the replay the ref is like 5-10 metre range from it, looking directly at it, unbelievable decision. Gabriel should definitely not be on the pitch. Getting away with that one then not long after flying into another tackle is just asking for trouble. Ref probably realising his mistake and starts looking for a soft reason to make up for his mistake.

I switched on about 30 seconds before the challenge in the corner, so yeah I absolutely hadn't seen that first one. When I heard Savage talking about him being sent off I assumed he was talking about the tackle i'd just seen. When Wright and James were saying at half time he should've been sent off, I was amazed, then they showed it. As you say, that's a real bad challenge, can't believe the ref hasn't sent him off for that.

Good ol' Robbie, back to being a legend again
