Will be interesting to see who Pellegrini decides to go with. I assume he will ring the changes after a tight schedule over the past few weeks. Hopefully a long awaited return to first team football for Stevan Jovetic. I will probably be way off the mark but here's who I think should play without giving it a massive amount of thought.

------------Pantilimon--------------
-Boyata--Nastasic--Lescott--Clichy-
Navas--Rodwell--Fernandinho--Milner
-------Guidetti----Jovetic----------

It's a shame that CL qualification is deemed more of a success than winning the cup now days :(

Would love a good FA cup run, but I can't see us getting past Arsenal, despite loosing their strikers, they are just too well organised.

I'd prefer to lose to Arsenal. Our squad is pretty depleted too, we can't afford a long cup run along with Europa and CL qualification.

edit: I just hope we show courage and out play Arsenal, just would rather it be a good loss if that makes sense. Don't want to be a laughing stock of a defeat.

Personally Utd are in such a dire situation I would like Moyes to put out as much of a youthful team as possible, it gives them experience against a reasonable premiership team while also resting those 1st team players carrying njuries

Given Utd are now in the knock out of the CL games, and semi of the CC (with all liklihood a final against City IF utd get past Sunderland), FAC doesnt need to be a priority at all

Lambert isn't interested in this either. I can't blame him, Prem survival is our top priority.

I'm expecting a less than full strength squad. I like the FA Cup too though, but we're not winning it for quite sometime and would rather stay in the Prem.

I think it's totally disrespectful. The FA cup was/is a chance for lower league teams to face bigger opposition. The same way that PL league clubs see the CL. I'm pretty sure clubs were fined for fielding weaker sides. Maybe the only answer is that CL clubs don't participate in the domestic cup competitions it were that unimportant. Failing that, they shouldn't be allowed to field players in the later stages (SEMI and FINAL) that didn't make and appearance in the earlier rounds.

It could also be suggested that (for instance) if Saurez this season for Liverpool or RvP last season for Utd got injured in a (relatively) un-necessary game in Jan and was out for two months, then its a little stupid.

If the same player is injured in an EPL /european game then its a totally different situation.

The youngsters need to be given chances too (and lets face it the FA Cup and even more so the CC are a lot less important to the top clubs than they used to be, whether thats right or wrong its a pretty universal truth)

A game against a team in the same division, that neither side will care about, in appalling conditions tomorrow, but tickets were only a tenner so meh....

Agree, particularly disrespectful to the fans, ask any Wigan fan if they would rather survive Pl or win a once in a lifetime cup competition. Trophies mean everything to a club's history not whether you finished top 4 20 times in a row...

If Spurs had a full strength squad available to chose from today, I'd say we would stand a pretty good chance of beating Arsenal, but with half of our first team out, I'm not so sure.

Be an entertaining game none the less. Shame it's on ITV though...

Would like a cup run but with the injuries we've suffered the first team needs a rest, wouldn't surprise me if Burnley beat us, good value at 6.5

As a toon fan I'd like to get past the 3rd round for once. I'd love love love to somehow draw Grimsby in the next round, father in law is a mariner.

The way I see it, we played way more games in the Europa league last year and nearly got relegated, the toon have a fair points tally this season which will see us safe, so let's go for the cup for once

K. Davis, Clyne, Yoshida, Hooiveld, Shaw, Cork, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Ward-Prowse, Ramírez, Lambert.

Quite a strong team but no Fonte, Lovren, Lallana or Rodriguez in the XI.
