The FA CUP Third Round - 5/6/7 January *** Spoilers ***

Well I really don't think anyone at Hull City wanted that replay. I was content with the loss! A sad indictment of the FA Cup, but I really didn't want us to have to have another game.

I cannot see how you are moaning about Welbeck in this match at the minute. I just don't even.

His decision making is terrible. Just then if he'd looked up he would have seen Hernandez unmarked and its a chance for a second. Instead he runs into nowhere and does a crap shot!

I thought Welbeck did fairly well with his run a few minutes ago, was a half decent effort too, but a difficult angle.

Hernandez was unmarked, but there were 3 or 4 players in the way of the cross, so it would have been difficult to pick him out.

I'm with you Bucket, that pass to Hernandez was not that easy on your weaker side. On top of that, had he passed and Hernandez didn't take his chance then Welbeck would get berated for not taking the chance on himself. He just can't win.

Singing about us as usual -_- lol

cm why do you just come in and insult basically every club that has achieved more than yours every single match? Or if not insult spend the match either complementing other team or nit picking at every mistake the one you are jealous of makes?

It was a very strange game today. Newcastle were very poor, and there was a kind of weird atmosphere at the ground tbh. You would have thought that the place would be jumping beating a prem team so easily...but it wasn't(until full-time, when it was). In fact I heard two different sets of people during the game sitting near me talk about how sorry they felt for the traveling fans!...what time did some of them have to leave in order to make a noon kick-off at the other end of the country, to see a reserve team not play!?

The Newcastle fans were very quiet as well....I was quite shocked tbh, I don't know if there is any discontent towards the team/Pardew or what. They did fill their end though.

I was pretty happy with Brighton's performance, though it is not the best we have played this season(not that I care in the least...we won!). Bridcutt was awesome as usual, and once again Orlandi looked class, as did Bridge. I knew straight away that the red card was harsh, but I haven't seen Lopez reaction, which was apparently quite bad?...I thought he played well today, but I don't rate him at all.

PS. Obertan is much worse than you realise on TV

Oh and there was a great look on Pardew's face when he saw the red card...I hope someone does a gif of it!

Agreed, the shot was the better idea, Hernandez was pretty covered off apart from a really early ball across which I think they could have cut off.

It was a good shift and shot, like you say if he would have passed and it gone wrong then people would moan that he didn't shoot etc. Nuts.

Ah **** off, I give up, the blind hate for the lad is ridiculous.

It's not blind hate at all. You only have to look at the stats, watch him play, see how the opinion is almost universal on here to realise how poor he is playing at the moment.

You'll notice I don't tend to comment on a lot of criticised players (Downing for example) but I've watched Welbeck a lot, he is far, far below the quality of the other three.

It is, you just moan whatever he does, it's ridiculous. He's having a pretty good game and his interplay is good today especially!

Stats don't really tell much, he hasn't had a really bad match for ages, he's also rarely had much playing time lately and this is a good appearance.

The opinion on here is bonkers, opinions on other forums is totally different, it's only here that I read that has a ridiculous hate for the lad.

There isn't any point debating it with you because you won't listen, just as any Spurs fans don't listen to anything bad you say about their club because Bale walks to training and Levy is a god.
