From years expertise in the development of professional gaming monitors and every close encounter with legendary gamers around the world, we have learned that what defines a truly victorious gaming monitor, or should you say “the best gaming monitor”, really depends on the performance-driven features that make the critical difference between victory and defeat. Gaming is in the details that matter. This is why our engineers and designers strive to perfect every detail that may ultimately contribute to the triumph of the game.

Fast response time of 1ms GTG means speed without the smear for an enhanced gaming experience. Fast-moving action and dramatic transitions will be rendered smoothly without the annoying effects of smearing or ghosting. Control your gaming destiny and don't leave it in the hands of slow display.

BenQ’s new Motion Blur Reduction technology further enhances an ultra-smooth, free-of-blur gaming experience, particularly for action-packed FPS games where every millisecond count. With Motion Blur Reduction, gamers no longer suffer from time and gaming comfort lost to poor vision quality created by motion blur and lagging. Instead, they have everything to gain with more reaction time advantage on their side to achieve ultimately a flawless victory.

It is absolutely vital that the XL2730Z give you the flexibility you need to get the color performance you seek. This is why BenQ built into the monitor 20 levels of Color Vibrance setting to meet gamers’ specific viewing requirements and preferences for all types of gameplay. This unique feature is accessible via On Screen Display (OSD) or Display Pilot for added convenience.

The Display Mode and Smart Scaling features allow you to change the monitor view to suit your preference and to simulate any in-game experience. Using the Display Mode function, the monitor can be easily changed between 7different screen sizes, from 17”, 19”, 19”W, 21.5W”, 22”W, 23”W, 23.6”W, 24”W and 27”W.

If you’re looking to customize your screen size further, you can also take advantage of the Smart Scaling feature. The Smart Scaling feature gives you the flexibility to freely scale the screen content to any custom size. With just one monitor, you can simulate any game play and practice under different display sizes for tournaments. Use the Display Mode and Smart Scaling together to get the possible view for any application or game.

The newly improved Black eQualizer Dynamic color engine technology takes visibility optimization to a whole new level with automatic brightness adjustments. The XL2730Z is able to detect the input source and automatically fine-tune the amount of brightness enhancement within the range of the brightness level selected by the user. Now, gamers can spot their enemies in critical combat effortlessly and react to any situation quickly without having to lift a finger for manual adjustments.

To ensure that gamers can duplicate the exact same monitor set-up with the highest accuracy, efficiency and convenience, BenQ made a few additions to the XL2730Z’s Adjustment Scale Design. The adjustable height stand is now scaled with 14 height levels trackable by a moving marker. Trackable scales are also added to the screen, which tilts forward and backward to 0°, 10° and 20°, and swivels left and right to a wide range of angles. Every XL2730Z can be your personal XL2730Z.

The S Switch Arc is an external controller that comes with preset buttons that can be customized with personal display settings for gaming, work or entertainment use. The S Switch Arc not only sports a quick key for the Auto Game Mode but also a rounder look for a more natural and comfortable grip that enables gamers to best navigate between game modes.

The newly upgraded Display Pilot function allows users to make all the on-screen display adjustments, plus provides them with direct access to the Game Mode Loader feature for downloading and installing the preset display settings of their favorite game or professional gamer’s screen instantly.

The Auto Game Mode enables the XL2730Z to detect the genre of the game being played and switch the display setting to the corresponding game mode automatically. It is also designed to make new game mode recommendations for download. This unique feature is accessible through the On Screen Display (OSD) setting as well as the Display Pilot software or the S Switch Arc that has a quick key built in for this mode.

To save gamers the hassle of having to re-download and reset game modes, the XL2730Z allows gamers to store game modes onto a USB flash drive for easy and simple carriage. They can also share their own game modes with everyone via cloud storage or social media platforms. This innovative feature allows gaming communities to share, collaborate and bond freely with ease.

Sporting the latest angular, compact base that aligns perfectly parallel to the desk surface and a monitor stand meticulously placed in golden ratio to counter balance the display, the next-generation base stand design offers a new level of stability for the steadiest gameplay – with stringent swivel and shock testing results to prove it. Additionally, the reduced width and depth further shortens the distance between the keyboard and the monitor, bringing you closer than ever to the game.

The aluminum alloy coated monitor stand sends off a sophisticated yet mysterious metallic appeal that conjures up the majesty of the game. On top of that, it is ergonomically optimized with a widened and thickened top handle that’s comfortable to grip, making the monitor much easier to carry from one place to another.

Placing a retractable headphone hook on the left side of the monitor display conveniently puts your headphones within arm’s reach. The material of the headphone hook, which has been upgraded to aluminum alloy, offers extra hardness and strength for improved durability.

Practice long hours with clear, comfortable vision or compete with top-notch vision condition with BenQ’s new Low Blue Light. The blue spectrum light, which is produced by regular computer screens, is a critical cause of eye damage, eyestrain, headaches and sleeping disorders. Now with the offering of various adjustable low blue light levels, gamers can better protect their eyes. So there would be no need for yellow tinted eyeglasses for additional eye protection, and gameplay can be clear, comfortable and hassle-free!

Developed in collaboration with pro gamers, the XL2730Z has been upgraded to eliminate flickering at all brightness levels. This effectively reduces eye fatigue and elevates gaming performance through extreme visual comfort for even the most hardcore gamers enrolling long hours in action. Armed with the Gaming-comfort Flicker-free Technology, the BenQ Gaming Monitor is an epic weapon over your ultimate rivals.

These are available in very limited numbers just like the Swift was at launch, but it is very impressive!!

Good to see a significant saving being delivered over gsync models. Hopefully some competition will push the freesync prices down even further.

We have the same panel from Acer at £429.95, the BenQ cost us considerably more but in fairness the BenQ has a lot more features and far superior stand. :)

Yep now need to order one.. I didn't think with Freesync needing DisplayPort I expect BenQ to have that ready.. I could just order one with the monitor otherwise..

OCUK I would make this easy for more people buying.

It has nothing to do with us, if BenQ have decided not to supply a DP cable that is their stupid dumb mistake.

P.S. I just checked my XL2730Z, it does indeed have a DP cable in the box.....

Hi there

FREESYNC update, I can't test it! :(
Spoken with AMD and they gave me this official response:

AMD is very excited that monitors compatible with AMD FreeSync™ technology are now available in select regions. We know gamers are excited to bring home an incredibly smooth and tearing-free PC gaming experience powered by AMD Radeon™ GPUs and AMD A-Series APUs. We’re pleased to announce that a compatible AMD Catalyst™ graphics driver to enable AMD FreeSync™ technology for single-GPU configurations will be publicly available on AMD.com starting March 19, 2015. Support for AMD CrossFire™ configurations will be available the following month in April, 2015.

It seems BenQ and OcUK have jumped the gun a little with getting physical stock, so enjoy the monitors for their performance be ready to download the FREESYNC driver on the 19th, so not to long to wait.

In the meantime I shall ask AMD if they can maybe help OcUK with getting a BETA driver. :)

Freesync was meant to be in the Omega driver apparently?

AMD in another late shocker.

In fairness guys, look around, you won't find FREESYNC monitors IN STOCK nearly anywhere else worldwide.

I am a good buyer, I have stock now, OcUK first in the world with stock, I am amazing, AMD are just sticking to their scheduled launch date which was not in a public domain.

So don't give them to much of a hard time. :)

Yep, exactly the reason I want to return it, no point paying extra for a feature that won't work for at least a month.

I can see OCUK getting quite a few returns to be honest.

It is two weeks buddy, 19th is 14 days away. I am sure AMD know the importance and are now probably working on bringing the launch forward and not causing further delays.

No its just common sense. If its not listed it, its not there simple as that..

Am with Gibbo on this.. OCUK only ones with freesync display atm its not AMD fault OCUK released early before its ready..

Am just going to enjoy this display.. Loving 1440p over 1080p its very nice.

Yeah I've being pushing for FREESYNC like crazy, why do you think OcUK was first to market with Acer, LG and with BenQ in stock.

I made the assumption as others here had done FREESYNC was already present in the Omega drivers, it is why I got one yesterday to play with and it was last night I was like oh, so where is FREESYNC option in drivers, spoke with the execs in USA and they told me that the launch date is not 19th and enquired as to hell on earth I'd got stock so early. We know the answer to that, I am amazing. :D ;)

I am pushing hard now to try bring the launch forward and although I am amazing we might just have to wait 14 days until we can play. :)

Yeah..

No big deal for now so long its not the display am happy to keep using 120hz for now..

1080p 144hz works fine.

Yeah no real choice for now.. Just happy to know its not the display. I hate sending things back time and money.

Yeah 144Hz does not work on AMD cards still, 120Hz for now, maybe the driver on the 19th will resolve this issue to, shall enquire with AMD. :)

I just did a google shopping search and 5 shops in the UK have this monitor in stock. Not as cheap as OcUK (Kudos Fella's) but to answer your question...Yes I can :D

They actually do not, if you look it says in stock but upto 3 day delivery and collection not available. ;)

There is no stock in their warehouse, the stock is in our warehouse and were feeding them a stock level so they buy from us, hence same or higher price. ;)
