The Freddo challenge

Got a box from Macro and challenged my team to scoff one in under 9 seconds. Not as easy as it sounds

Anyone tried this (like you have nothing better to do with your time). 9 seconds is the record so far. There must be no trace of scrummy choco in yer gob at the end.

This the bog standard solid freddo or the freddo with caramel? Man, I bought a box from Makro a few weeks ago (well, Easter) and it was goooooood times. I love the caramel ones.

nothing compared to cheese crackers trust me .

The Guinness Book of World Records states that James Thomas consumed three crackers in 34.78 seconds in 2005. Consuming multiple crackers in a short space of time is extremely difficult due to the lack of moisture.

EVERYONE knows that the caramel filled one is in fact a Taz not a Freddo, tsk, amateurs!

lol, true but they are exempt from the challenge as they have soft insides and can be scarfed much faster.

My friend and I used to buy the whole stock of Freddo bars from the tuck shop at school (before Jamie Oliver had a say in things). Sometimes we ate a lot of them, and other times we threw them into a crowd and watched everyone scramble for the bars.

It was fun, but very unhealthy.

Are you talking about eating a whole box in 9 seconds?

I thought so.

The only problem is that the chocolate will coat the mouth in such a way that 9 seconds is hard to beat.

Possibly you could try to cool the mouth down and then quickly chew to break down the chocolate, and then swallow the smaller pieces of chocolate (no time for it to coat the mouth).

Some would be able to, but I don't think most people could comfortably without gagging. (This is a possibility due to the small size).

Not actually covered by the rules, but I suspect Angus is correct. Gagging would be a distinct possiblility

The trick seems to be to gnash it up fast before it starts to melt and try to bolt the bits down. Like I said, it seems like a no-brainer but is actually a lot harder than you might think. And you get to scarf loads of choco trying to beat your time.
