The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Barely, still not worth the money, 2-3 absolute max imo.

Yep, all 4 way scaling is poor

I'd stay to 3 max as well. Cheaper overall since you don't need a massive quality PSU, EATX motherboard, EATX chassis, and copious amounts of cooler. :)

I do hope it's true that DX12 allows for better overall scaling and better communication.

I can see these coming in under £500 with a game like Star Wars Battlefront bundled in at some point. If you can hang on you will get a better deal. Early adopters always pay more.

Yeah, really should, the question is how long that'll be, my credit card's getting all itchy...
Also, do the early ones have better chips with more OC headroom?

I'm thinking I'll get 2 to start with and then see how things go, maybe add a 3rd. Depends on how things work out with VRAM and stuff. By that time we might be hearing Pascal rumours or 400 series rumours...

That's the idea I had with my two 980Ti's. See how it goes and if I want/need I can add a third.

I think it's the best solution to start with and see how things go.

Pump noise sounds like this.

About the 8:20 mark.

None of mine have that noise, should be limited to review samples as this was fixed for retail. (not discounting any possible other faulty pumps of course) The four i have are silent pump wise. :)

It's coming!

Given your problems with heat with our previous gpu's, you're gonna love it Gerard. :)

Those problems were resolved once i got my front intake over the rad changed to a 140mm SP fan and slapped a typhoon on as a pull fan. Also the new front panel for the 750d made a lot of difference.

Ah okay, I've not been keeping up to date. Good to hear nonetheless.

The Cooler for the FuryX has been improved compared to the one on the 295x2. The FuryX rad holds more water for a start and that's before you look at the radiator itself or the superior Gentle Typhoon fan we use.

If you mean the ones from Guru3D, no. They do not support the FuryX. Wait for them to be officially released. :)

26%!!!!

lol. Least the number of screws required scales well :p

Missed this earlier. Hold on a minute guys, he was counting the overall score not the graphics score. If you're working out CrossFire/QuadFire scaling in Firestrike go by Graphics Score. If you work it out, the scaling is good for immature drivers using a new technology. It will only get better, stay tuned!

I was biscuit taking, we already know 4 way scaling isn't fantastic, it's certainly no worse than NVIDIAs

Matt, if you didn't get any sort of contribution towards your Fury setup, then you should have done.

It's about as good as anything AMD's PR department have come up with and most probably convinced a few people to take the plunge on a Fury (or 2).
