Anyone read this, and/or been following a few of the techniques, i.e. Mystery Method etc?

I have pretty bad AA, so am trying to overcome that at the moment by trying to open and build rapport with random people (shopkeepers, cab drivers etc). It's been quite fun, and I'm looking forward to improving not just my game with women, but just improving in terms of confidence in every day life. :)

Quite an interesting read :)

To be honest, 99% of it isn't 'playing a game', just making people realise that being self-confident enough to approach people without fear of being knocked back and open and able to make conversation is an attractive quality to the opposite sex and funnily enough it works.

Just don't take it too seriously, take the principles but don't for Gods sake turn into a Game-reciting parrot and hope that'll turn you into a love-messiah.

I always get the impression these books are basically how to get a woman into bed. But the type of women who would fall for it and jump straight into bed aren't really the ones I would want to persue long term.

For attracting women you wouldn't mind going out with I would recomend being friendly and being yourself

No, there are a lot more general techniques for becoming a lot more self confident. Small things like body language, posture can really help.

He he, thanks mate, you seem to be the only one that gets it so far! :p :)

Never read it, but I've swotted up a fair bit on the subject in the last few years, what sort of stuff does 'The Game' have to say?

I'm imagining it's the usual

*Be strong, confident, fearless
*Leave 'em wanting more
*Make funny
*Try hard not to be repulsively ugly.....

'The Game' - It's only a game if you make it one. Be yourself. Do what you think, don't think and fail to act.

Can I publish that? Short book, but meh, that's all you need to know! :p

Me too, but I didn't mention it because I think the game is kinda passé now. :p

When I saw the thread title, I immediately thought "aww shucks, I've lost the game again!" :( I'm pretty sure it had been about six weeks+. Simple things, simple minds, etc! :p

So, its a book?

As you can probably guess searching for "The Game" in Google is a bit useless.

Yes, a pretty entertaining book at that, whether you choose to use any of the techniques or not. It's by Neil Strauss, I'd recommend searching on the site of that rainforest shop.
