Well I thought that Clapton got booked before the 2005 festival. Clapton phoned Michael Eavis and asked if he could play, but they were full so he said that Clapton could play 2007. AND.. 'The biggest band in the world' have been confirmed. I know Cream are by no means the biggest, but inevitably there would be a little spin on a statement like that, and they're definitely big enough to have that title slapped on their head.

My theory anyway. :)

If it happens it'll have been the best kept secret for a long while! I haven't even seen whispers of such things since that initial news item.
Would be nice if it did happen, but I can't see it...... (especially knowing Ginger's feelings after the MSG gigs).

I must admit I didn't know they were currently on tour. But old Ginger, bless his heart, looks even more like a skeleton than he did back in the 60s. Still smoking like a train as well. :(

I am hoping on everything I hold dear that this is true.. And if it is, this will be the best festival I've ever been to and possibly the best thing I've ever been to ever. :D

Not really any apparently about it, the website has had it scheduled as the 9th and 10th of June for weeks now.

They're not - I was referring to the MSG gigs in October 2005. They didn't end on a particularly positive note (the old Jack -vs- Ginger thing erupted again). Ginger went on record saying he wished they'd stopped after the RAH gigs, which were fine from a 'all getting along' and musical point of view.

Ow Gawd. :( :(

Didn't know anything about that. Well they make up or have made up, but I didn't know about that. :( Thanks for filling me in.

this is poo unless the lineup is announced before the tickets are sold

means i cant buy a ticket in the hope the lineup improves because i wont be able to sell it :S
