After playing through some of factions (0-20 in 2 days, hehe) ive just discovered that you can go between the GW and GW:F maps through lion arch :D. So you can go back to ye olde world. I dont know if you can take a GW Character to GW:F but it seems you can certainly do it the other way round. In that way, i pressume Godless factions guild is the same as standard. I still need to rejoin though since i have been out of the game for a while.

You'll be glad to hear that it works both way's. Once you get your original GW character to Lion's Arch talk to the skills guy and take the quest that leads you just outside the gate to Mhenlo. Then you just need to go back into Lion's and speak to the NPC by the boat.

Voila! Your GW character can gain some serious XP by doing quests in Cantha. I had my Necro ran from Ascalon to Lion's and then took her to Cantha to quickly level up before going back to Tyria to capture SS. :)

Hi i was an original memeber of the Godless when the game first came out and have just started to play again after a year away so i was wondering if i could jump back in to the guild :confused:

Tried the 10 hour GW trial on PCformat coverdisc. Finished it in one sitting.

Bought it just over a week ago and I am chronically addicted to this!

I don't think i've ever been so hooked on a game. Ever. :p

Only problem is I bought it digitally so have no manual or anything. Whats the best GW faq on the net ?

so, is factions worth getting?
what about the new campain?

also, I've just downloaded it onto another PC as the CDs got a HUGE scratch on it :( and the levels are taking AGES to load (only downloading files at 33k/s max rather than the full limit of my 2meg) any ideas why or how I can speed it up?

The slow downloads are most probably due to everyone downloading the Nightfall content for the upcoming PvE weekend. One thing you could do is to add -image at the end of your shortcut. That will download and de-compress all files meaning that you won't have to wait inbetween zones for the files to decompress. Once done though remove the -image switch otherwise the game won't start.

As for Factions, yeah it's worth getting in my opinion. It's not as extensive as Prophecies but it does add some interesting new options. Can't say about Nightfall though as I haven't tried it yet. However, playing the Dervish in the PvP weekend a while back I liked it. Also, from what I've read recently it's going to be a pretty good campaign. Loads of changes to the way the game works.

Lo there Mr P, still going strong. I've been slacking off recently so obviously the guild suffered a little as a result. I'm playing a little more regularly again so we are getting back up to speed ;) . Guild rank is usually between 500 and 9,999 depending on......actually we aren't really sure why that happens, fortunately we couldn't care less either :D
 
hehe cool, i like that average rank lol.

my last glt finished its ladder at like rank 32, this one finished the last one at 180 or something like that. hopefully do better this season :D
 
This has its own thread, but I'll ask here as well. Have any of you guys got a trial key I could use? Looking to get into it but I want to make sure I like it first :)

Thanks mate, but I've gone and bought it anyway, £9 for the original version from the MM.
