It's easy to complain when we get poor customer service, but how often do you highlight good service? In this thread, post your examples of good customer service.

Here are a couple of examples from me:

My old Logitech MX1000 middle mouse button stopped working. I had no receipt and the serial number sticker had been lost long ago when I had previously removed it to repair something else. Logitech sent me a brand new Logitech MX Revolution for free, on the condition I destroyed the old one and sent them a picture, which itself was fun.

I ran out of modular SATA cables for my Corsair PSU, emailed them up and from California they posted out some spares quicker than I receive deliveries from Jersey retailers.

A wispa bar was deformed. I was bored, sent a photo to Cadbury's, they sent me a £10 voucher to buy some more.

Activision or Red Octane just sent me a new Guitar Hero World Tour guitar after my buttons have gone **** up on the GH3 one.. mega kudos to them!

My Logitech G5 scroll wheel stopped scrolling upwards so I told them on the phone and they sent me a new one without me sending anything back at all :D

I've still got the old one, it's next to useless without a scroll wheel though.

I had bought Gilmore Girls complete series on DVD (yes, i did!) from the States online, the set has over 50 discs and disc 6 on Season 4 was unplayable. I had tried it on over 5 different DVD players, even tried to "back it up" to see if i can watch it on the HD, no joy. So i contact Warner Brothers in the states, whom at first tried to fob me off to their European branch so i email back telling them that the set I have is a Region 1 edition and only sold in the states and the European branch cannot help me.

Buying season 4 alone and replace that disc was not an option as the complete set has its own disc design. Sending it back to the states for a replacement set would cost a fortune as it will need insurance, not to mention there is no guarantee the next set will not have the same problem.

Low and behold, after my detail email back they sent me the exact disc i asked for using next day DHL, at no costs to me on the condition that i destroy the other disc.

I bought a laptop for £300 off ebay. It was new and average spec.

The screen had a very very small stress mark. Sent it back to HP, they sent me an amd 64 3000+ laptop, but it had a green pixel that went between normal colour and green very fast (super annoying).

They then sent me a 3400+ amd 64 laptop that had 512mb ram., gf4 64mb, wireless, DL dvd burner, bluetooth, widescreen, card reader and JBL speakers!

It even had an invoice from a competitor for £1400!!

This was in 2005 btw so you have an idea of the awesomeness of the spec.

EDIT: OCUK has had some good customer service with me in the past:)

Years ago, a mate of mine bought an athlon thunderbird 1400 from OCUK for a new build. He chipped the core fitting the heatsink and destoyed it. Got sent another. Did the same AGAIN and was sent another IIRC
I think the heatsink was a bum design that made fitting tricky without chipping the core, but even so.....

Broke a SATA cable on my OCZ modular PSU, emailed them and they sent me a replacement for free :)

OCZ by far has to be the best customer service...i used to do quite a bit of overclocking and i bought these 2 OCZ ram sticks...cost me a pretty penny too. Anyways i kept getting errors so posted on this forum which just happened to have a guy from OCZ...he told me to fire off an email to him...next day i got an email saying that hes sent out 2 brand new ram sticks for me and when the courier delivers them...to send the faulty ones back at no cost to me

Mega impressed with that.

I really need to chase them up about my MX1000's - I've got 2. One has a left click button that gets stuck. And between them I have 3/8 mouse feet. lol

Had a BFG 8800GTX (when they were first out, and mega-expensive). It caused my PC to randomly lock up. Sometimes after 10 mins sometimes after 2 or 3 days.

Changed ALL the other components, and narrowed it down to the card.

Contacted them, returned the card and had a replacement delivered the following day!

I was convinced they had plugged it in, got to the desktop and assumed I was a noob, the card worked and they had just decided to return it.

E-mailed asking whether this was the case - got told they had sent a new card to me, by return of post, as it wasn't fair making me wait for a few days until the fault occured again.

I was chuffed :)

High street electrical retailer near me were REALLY helpful with my faulty TV and I appreciate how helpful they were. Also the harvester restaurant near me provided 6 free 3 course meals when I complained :D

I got my MX518 replaced by Logitech, all they asked for was the product/model numbers on the mouse and they just asked where I got it from and when. They didn't ask for any receipts or any proof of purchase, a new one arrived soon after. The guy on the phone said I will need to send a piece-part to them after I receive it, like the cable, but I kind of forgot and haven't heard anything from them. Surely they get people ringing up and getting mice for free

How did you get logitech to do that? I gave them my serial number of my mouse and they said the warranty had expired. The best they would give is 50% off their online store prices which equate to normal OcUK prices.
