The Grand Theft Auto thread.

For modding GTA4 graphically, Id recommend the iCEnhancer mod, I use version 1.25, but it has been updated since then to version 2 atm. There was another version inbetween (v 1.35) but I didnt like that one so much so I stuck with 1.25. Havent tried v.2.

I would also recommend H1Vltg3 modified settings for the iCEnhancer mod, IMO it does a better job than Icelaglace standard iCEnhancer settings. (Icelaglace is the author of iCEnhancer.)

Lastly, DKT70 Road Textures mod to make the roads in GTA4 look so much more realistic.

Heres some links:

Cant find a link for the DKT70 road textures atm, anyone else help?

Just took these, with regards iCEnhancer...nuff said:

I used the Shift+F12 shortcut which I think turns the mod on and off.

In game, it just looks amazing, still pictures dont do it justice, at 1680x1050 res and my sig rig, with most settings on max it runs smooth as silk.

The SA MP was absolutely awesome. Had some amazing times on a particular server that had a variety of mods enabled.

I liked IV but I couldn't stand the characters. Awful.

Vice City was the best, it had loads of personality. Best music, vibe, funky coloured jackets and the coolest "I've hit the bigtime" moment at the end when you get the mansion.

SA was also great, but it was great for the size of the map and varied locations. Had some great characters too.

IV was bland to me. Characters weren't really interesting, city was "samey", there was no "fun" factor that the rest of the series had. Never felt attached to it really.

I do wish Rockstar would sort out their PC development. I've really gone off consoles this generation, even though there are some great games availible, I just prefer the PC so much more.

I would do anything for a great port of Red Dead Redemption.
