I'll start - Bobby Keys.

I guess his standout performance is his solo on the Stones' Can't You Hear Me Knocking and, having witness him perform it live sevaral times, his contribution to Miss You has got to be up there too.

I believe he did stuff with a lot of other top artists too, including Lennon and Harrison.

I think he knew he was pretty good to as evidenced by an anecdote in which he fails to show up for a sound check for a Stones gig. Jagger finds him with two French prostitutes in a bath filled with champagne and tells him to get to the sound check.

"Go **** yourself, Mick", apparently, was the response.
