Most of you probably know how this works by now - below are 25 lines from classic and contemporary songs but translated into a Shakespearean stylee. The idea is to work out the original lyric, the song it's from, and the artist. Full credit only goes to an answer that gives all three. Good luck!

Lies. I blatently had that posted before you edited and you know it. :p

20 is Jump - Van Halen is it not?

Is 8 Ace of Spades?

Dude, not one of your answers so far has all three pieces of info. Nil points!

And Gilly, one of your song titles is (Edit: Was) wrong.... :p

Is 8 Ace of Spades - Motorhead? (EDIT: No it can't be, no reference to dice in the lyrics)

The translation doesn't have to match exactly - some of them are slightly cryptic otherwise it would be far too easy. You have the right song you just need the lyric.

Don't know how I missed that one!

Razorlight - Somewhere Else - I met a girl, she asked me my name, and I told her what it was.

I almost said that I couldn't believe you missed it out, but that would have given it away immediately!

If one more is guessed correctly, I'll reveal the artists behind the remaining five...

The last one (ii) was The Knack - My Sharona:

I shalt keep on going forever, relinquish it to me. Thy head is filled with sinful thoughts! I art aroused by the youthful caress.

is

"Never gonna stop, give it up, such a dirty mind. I always get it up for the touch of the younger kind."

Edit: Well well. Beaten in my own quiz. What a fitting ending!

xxxi)Mine odour passt forth mine lips, throngs of peasants showdeth my form. And mine appetite is likened to that of a howling lupine.

"Smell like I sound, I’m lost in a crowd, and I’m hungry like the wolf" - Hungry Like the Wolf - Duran Duran.

Good one! Unfortunately I now have to head home from work so I'll check back in later...

Edit: Hmm, not sure if that line fits perfectly actually, reading it back. Does it change throughout the song?

xxxiii)Lightning bolts, her form art established upon. Furthermore the behaviour of her bretheren is a cause for disconcertion.

This appears to be She's Electric by Oasis, but I'm having trouble placing the lyric. The latter part would be 'She's got a brother, we don't get on with one another' possibly? These are damn hard!

ah belmit, i love your shakespearean music quizes, any chance you have number 2? I think i missed it.

Number 1 would be great as well

I have both in text files but without answers (I just remember them). Looking back through them I've just realised that a couple of the ones I did this time have already been used before :o. I can always repost them here, I just won't be so quick to update the answers. Maybe if I do them ten at a time?

Well these are going quick! The last two are a recent RnB/pop all-girl group and a 70s/80s rock group.
