The greatest thing you've seen in football?

What about one single moment/goal/incident in a match rather than the whole thing?

Or will it be Dudeks heroics against Sheva twice, or Gerrards header =P?

Shevchenko missing the penalty.

I managed to block the Dudek save/Sheva miss in extra time out of my mind. I remember sitting in the lounge at the airport on the way home and seeing it and wondering what the **** happened. I remember the cross coming in and the header but for some reason I managed to make myself believe Sheva knocked the rebound out for a goal kick.
This is the game I was referring to BTW

Some great defending by Liverpool mind :D
And some **** decisions too :p

Turning point of Spurs as a club IMO. Instilled the belief that none of the top 4 are unbeatable and was the foundation of our growth in the league. Also, was the competition in which we won our first trophy in years.

wish 'that' jenas would show up more often

We were away at peterbough.

Forest 2-0 down, came back to win 3-2 with goals from stan and the local hero Mr Pearce.

It was the sight of about a 1000 people rushing toward me at the final whistle in the london road terrace.... i just span round and jumped the fence before i got stamped on:)

Personal aside, you'd have to go some way to beat the maradona goal in the 86 cup. Man and the other goal aside, just brilliant.. there's nothing fortunate or one off about something like that.

I think I have a few, mainly from the 2005 season when Norwich were in the Premiership.

Safari's 40 yard screamer against Newcastle, another would be when Manchester United came to Carrow Road, with an almost full strength team United got outplayed and we beat them 2-0, the shock of it was just outstanding.

Ohh and not to forget Delia Smith's famous appeal to the Norwich fans "Where are you? lets be 'avin you!" that is just one of those moments which still makes me burst out with laughter.

Kanchelskis scoring against Oldham '94 FA Cup Semi Final. He was great.

I still think the United squad from back then was their finest, and most likeable. Great days.

99 Champs league final, last 2 minutes.

The trouble with this match was that it killed my love of football. United had just won everything that mattered and I really didn't see the point any more.

Bitter sweet. :(

I miss those days! :(

Not only did we win it, we won it on our most bitter rivals ground, and we were the first team since Preston to go the full top flight season undefeated, and I think they only played 20 games or so, whereas we ended up going on that 49 game unbeaten run. Doesn't get sweeter than that. :D

The whole Istanbul experience was amazing but one moment sticks in my mind as a Liverpool fan- Gerrard's last minute goal against West Ham in the FA Cup Final.

I was right behind the goal in the Liverpool end and all we could hear was the West Ham Fans whistling. Gerrard connected with the shot, the thud of his boot hitting the ball broke through the noise and there was a moment of silence as it hit the back of the net. I can still remember hearing the ball fizzing against the net and the noise it made. Cue eruption from the fans.

Of course, there have been many many moments as a fan that I have enjoyed but for some reason that one has just lodged in my mind.

Being a Brentford supporter, there hasn't been a lot to celebrate over the last 20 years. We went on a great run that saw us promoted a couple of years ago, but I was travelling at the time :(

Probably the greatest memories I have are the games we knocked out Sunderland in the FA cup about 5 years ago, or beating Everton in the league cup this season. These both would have been overshadowed if we had have beaten Birmingham City on penalties away in the league cup - but can't complain, seeing as we didn't lose to the cup winners during 120 minutes, yet Arsenal did! ;)

My favourite experiences normally involve going away and watching us win. Never a better feeling!
