The GT-R has a new stable mate!

I thought this was the Fiat 500 thread.
Its not.
I am so damn Jelo
Btw a gtr came up behind me on the motorway the other day.
The way they thing glided up behind me and then up a exit completely redefined my understanding of how fast that car is.
It was amazing

I can attest to the fact that being a pilot certainly doesn't mean you're rolling in cash! I wish :(

Hats off to Iceman though, amazing career to date and a superb taste in motors! :)

Though 1 question i have to ask, how do you make money by 'pro gaming'? What does that even mean? lol

professional tournaments like that have quite large prizepots, and they were even bigger back in the day...from memory like £500k for a team of 5 players...

EDIT out of interest who did you play? if i remember rightly it was counterstrike, what years/tournaments did you win? It intrigues me :)

Massive respect to you and your work ethic so apologies for trying to dig deeper :)

You played for uninspired in CS right? Even 4Kings/i-eS/TAG/atr hardly made massive amounts of money due to low placings, did you play other games outside of CS or am I missing something completely?

It was never that big.

Take a look at the history page and you can see the sort of prizes they were handing out

The largest apparently was $500,000 for a final - but that was across all games. So around £350,000 total pot, split between the 3 / 4 games of the finals. That would have been around £90,000 total prize pot for CS, which still works out just under 20k, which is a massive ammount when your 17/18

Also considering there were many other tournaments in the year; WCG, WEG, ACON5, ESWC, DH etc..

4Kings were pretty much the top UK team and even they rarely placed inside the top 5.
