So guys, just seeing the MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G in stock in the Netherlands (5 in stock it seems). Is it worth it over the Gigabyte's G1 at the same price? I don't know what to expect from a Twin Frozr on a 980 Ti when it comes to cooling perfomance.
The G1 seems to be the ''king'' as far as cooling and perfomance goes, but I'm hearing lots of reports about coil whine.
Initially I wanted to go for the ACX 2.0+, but seeing the cooling perfomance I changed my mind.

There isn't much in it, the G1 like many have reported looks a great card. Out of the box it looks like 1367 minimum boost, which is incredible for hassle free extra performance over reference cards.

I could have a G1 from the batch earlier this week but I changed my order again to the MSI before they pushed the price up £24. I reckon the MSI is what, 10MHz less on the advertised OC boost clock than the G1, which is negligible. Probably would do well to tell a difference in games. Just thought, as much as I know the G1 cooler was cool and quiet on my 970, I just think the Twin Frozr might run a little bit quieter (and a bit warmer) because the large fans spin slower.

My ACX is OC'd to 1300 boost and runs @ 74c max. It's just as cool as my outgoing 780 ACX.

Kind of off topic, but as a thank you for registering they also gave me 50% off one of their PSUs. I don't really need a new PSU but it would be rude not to at that price. :D

I'll pop it on the shelf for now ready for my next build.

I've found my twin frozr 650ti to be as cool and quiet as the windforce 670's and 780's I've owned.
