The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

I've been running mine at just under 1400 core in game, not tried higher, just waiting for my block to come to really see the max it can do with extra voltage.

I've only done a small overclock on my evga 980 ti SC so far http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/7521394? as I'm not sure how far I can push it. I've not done overclocking in a long time. I used evga precisionX 16 for this but I've just noticed the card seems to have reverted back to default speeds.

I'd just leave the voltages at stock for now, then whack up the core speed and memory speed. Run firestrike to test stability, although it's no guarantee it's 100% stable so if you find you're crashing in games drop the speed down slightly.

Here's my MSI Afterburner settings, I'd like to get to 1500mhz but the voltage control doesn't seem to do anything, and it crashes when i set it to+165mhz

gives about 1471-1481mhz core boost in games

Bit of a pain swapping from my old cards to the new 980 ti. Couldnt just install the card and go.

nvidia stuff didnt start (couldnt manually start the nvidia control panel etc), and it just had windows basic driver in device manager.

downloaded the driver again and failed to install the driver.

Had to uninstall all nvidia stuff, restart, then uninstall the windows basic driver. then the nvidia installer said it couldnt find compatible hardware.

finally, I rebooted again.

Then installed again, this time the driver installed and everything is working.

IS that normal?

Picked my EVGA 980ti OC ACX up from my dad yesterday evening and grinned from ear to ear at the no less than 60fps Shadow of Mordor everything maxed at 2560x1080!!!

Just got the itch to buy GTA 5 and The Witcher to see them running on it. But my backlog is huge.

Also my dad ordered it for me and says he didnt get the Batman code through... does this come through as a seperate email? I know its currently a broken mess but would like to be ready for when it is ready to play ; )

I always use DDU- Display Driver Uninstaller to remove everything in safemode. It also turns off Window's ability to install it's own driver.
Then you can install a new NV driver without issues.

Inoton - i had no issue swapping from 780 to 980ti. I JUST MADE SURE i had the first 980ti supporting drivers in when I took the 780 out.

I was actually surprised at how simple plug and play it was.

Only issue I need to work out is why borderlands the presequel keeps minimising unless I run it in windowed mode.

Otherwise i'mcurrently stood in a shopping centre eagerly awaiting my wifes clothe shopping to end so I can get home and PLAY!!!!
