Is it actually using that much voltage or is that just it's new limit?
Same asic as mine. Have you tried leaving the memory at stock and just pushing the core?
If Maxwell is anything like Kepler then wc didn't do much for me, yes temps are low and it runs silent but the bios always held you back from pumping more volts through the chip. Fermi was the last gpu I saw benefit from wc on a stock bios.
I guess though the overclocks everyone seem to be getting on these 980Ti's are more than decent enough and not to be sniffed at.
Guru3D reviewed the Zotac (Amp! Extreme): it could take the G1 spot as overclock king. The 6G remains the best for silent operation.
Nope, all the performance stuff for the bios can be done in things like afterburner or precision for the most part.
and silence rules for those not watercooling. im amazed at how quiet the msi is compared to my old 680 ref blowers in sli
I am avoiding the MSI as I had the same cooler on my 970s. Wouldn't feel like changing
Ah ok, so more for a benchmarking side of things? Not generally necessary for a 24/7 gaming OC?
Go one then - beat my benchmark scores just using afterburner or precision
Now most of our Cpus have an IGP, so it's relatively safe. But I do agree that you should stick to what's achievable with Afterburner/Precision X, for everyday use.Should get my 980ti soon if the delivery driver ever leaves the depot.
after 10 and my parcels still there
it can turn your card into a brick.
although I'm sure you can undo a bad flash still, used to involve having a second gpu in the system though so you could see what the hell you are doing on the screen.
for the majority of users flashing is not advised unless you are experiencing problems an update is known to fix
