My replacement G1 came, has even worse coil whine than the first one..

Do you think it's bad luck, considering G1 Gamings are known for it, or more my power supply at fault? - For reference, the 970 Strix I have been running for the past few days has had no issues whatsoever.

Could be amplified more by a combination of hardware you're using. What Psu are you running?

I had a feeling it would be one of the Corsair CX series. Seen a fair few reports of coil whine with high end cards and that series of PSU, or even Corsair for that matter. Just double check it's not actually coming from the PSU itself.

I feel monumentally stupid. It is in fact coming from the PSU, had my friend double check it, too.

I'm looking to buy an RM850i/RM1000i for my new build coming Soon™, but I guess that's going to have to come a bit sooner.

Since Corsair PSUs seem to cause coil whine... Do you have any suggestions for a 850w+ PSU, fully modular PSU in white, or at least black with white/silver accents like the RMi series?
