The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

Well the fans dont move in 2d so must be :p

Have to wonder about that warning, it would suggest someone in the past left it on. :D
Using a custom fan profile on mine, (1-1 ratio). Makes little difference in noise over zero fan at idle. But under gaming load temps are sub 70 and still whisper quiet. Personally I can only start to hear the fans at 80%.

Currently have my Shiny new Palit Super Jetstream with a +75Mhz on the clock, and +600Mhz on the memory ( 1227 Base clock + 8200 Mem). All on stock volts, and fan profile.

Theres a little bit of coil whine, but I think after a good benching session that will reduce, it already seems to be getting quieter the more I tinker. And it 'sonly noticeable if you are staring directly at the case, as its under the desk and with sound in game, no issue.

Why such a high overclock on the memory? I thought it didn't give much of a boost compared to core?

Set my Gigabyte G1 (78.7% ASIC) to 1550 / 8000 with 110% power limit when it arrived about 4 weeks ago. Zero problems so far. I haven't got around yet to see how high I can push it.

Thanks for that link added Kaap - been wanting to see a review like that (wish more reviews were just straight comparisons to the brand-series) has definitely triggered me to just get a reference card and push it under water.

Must admit i am more confused than ever what to do, have the cash will buy but cant make my mind up what to do, so many options but none seem to cover all the things i want appart from all under water with a custom card.

Nothing I can hear. There was the expected noise on first boot but since then all good! One oddity is that I can only set the power target to 106% on both precision and afterburner, is that common?

I think thats about right, on the inno3d website they state 290W maximum power. Reference is 275W at 110%.

First was a Inno X3, went back due to coil whine.
Amp Extreme was fine, but when I contacted Zotac to get the right backplate (they advertise the "Push the Limit", but most cards have a blank one), they told me there was nothing they could do. Minor thing, I know, but If I spend 600£ I want everything I paid for, so it was mostly me being disappointed at Zotac.

Eeeee, should be able to get a 980ti next week :) Luckily I get £100 for switching banks to Halifax and I should have enough for the MSI when I sell my 670. Rather get a bit of cash than have it gathering dust.
