My G1's were similar before the new case and now I have a lovely side-fan to help things out
(takes the edge off them)

Couple of screenshots after an hour of D3. Its quiet, can't hear above the usual case fan noise.
Bit hotter than I'd like I guess, but the case is currently under my desk so air flow isn't the best, need to find a new home for it once I get a load of longer cables.

Out of interest, what is best performing card up to 600? Least noisy, heat ect.
Case is Corsair 450D, so it should fit fine? Currently fits a 980 G1 Gaming with room to spare.

Cheers. Thinking I might give it a go, can always stick a Kraken G10 on the top one if it gets too toasty and loud
Was hoping the MSI hybrid 980ti they teased back in June might at least be announced by now!

G1 Gaming owners - If you set the Windforce LED colour to white, is it a really blue-y white? Like a cyan-ish colour for you?
Not sure if mine is defective, but it is definitely a different colour to the Silent LED.

I installed my Palit 980TI today, what a lovely card, playing Crysis 3 maxed out in a case that doesn't have brilliant airflow I'm hitting 69c, that is impressive, my old EVGA 980 SC was hitting 80c!
No idea, disconnected the LEDs. Have every LED muted or disconnected as they just distract from what I am watching. Only glow I have is from a desk lamp placed behind the monitor when sitting at the PC.

Has anyone done a custom BIOS for the MSI 6G? My card sits at 95% power just itching to throttle. I can keep temperatures in the mid 60s but any clock north of 1500 and it throttles due to +100% power.

Could it be down to the VRM's getting too hot? I know MSI had problems in the past with overheating VRM's (I think it was their R9 280X Gaming card). I know the fans don't spin up until the GPU hits 60C with some cards, but chances are the VRM circuitry could be getting quite a bit hotter than that with no airflow, even if the GPU itself is just below 60C.
