Just sold the game code that came with my 980ti which means it cost me a whopping £434 delivered. I think that's a bit of a bargain myself.

What temps are you getting?

Mine goes up to 83 but i think that's cause the fan kicks in very slowly.

I'd have been happy with the review temps of low 70s but nice to know there's a bit of headroom for overclocking on standard cooling.

1080p never goes above 66c

1440p is about the only res my card actually stays under 80c, generally around 75\76c. Not tried 1080 yet.

At 1080p in battlefront my temps get to about 65c, even my overclock basically shuts itself down as i have it locked to 60fps and it handles that with ease. According to afterburner Gpu usage topped out at 59% .

The proper 980 Ti equivalent yes but if past launches are anything to go by then the 1080 or whatever they call it will probably be a few % faster than the 980 Ti.

That's what I'm thinking, and if I was to replace my 980Ti then I would be looking for at least 35% improvement. I don't think that the 1080 will provide that, and if the 1080Ti didn't either then I might look at picking up a second hand 980Ti and going SLI instead (depending on support at the time).

Just my personal thoughts on it. This 980Ti is a tremendous performer and I'm not sure what games are on the horizon that would truly tax it at 1440p.

So I'm looking at buying a 980Ti for my Sugo SG13, but there's a series of issues with fitting that sort of card in that sort of case (size, heat dissipation, plugging in the power connectors, etc.)

I've got my eye on the palit super Jetstream, but it's a 2.5 slot card and so is unlikely to fit.

That being said, does anyone have one of these cards and would be willing to measure the thickness in mm for me? There's a fair amount of air gap between my current GPU and the side of the case, and stock photos of the GPU make it seems somewhat promising, but I don't want to be shelling out that sort of money without more evidence that it'll fit.

Thanks in advance - hopefully I'll join the owners club soon
