^^ Nice - but those clock speeds aren't they reachable for any "stock" 980Ti ? It sure looks like it from all the reviews I've seen most OC'ed them 250-260MHz on the core.

What ? They overclock it from standard 1753Mhz (*4 = 7010Mhz) to 1803Mhz (* 4 = 7210Mhz). Nothings gonna happen.

Anyone else stupid enough to have upgraded from 980's?

I don't do 4k, but I'm playing ultra wide at 3440x1440 and my 980's hit VRAM limit in GTAV so I fancied a little bit more headroom.

When 12gb means 12gb or 3.43 GTX 970s.

But I will get one of these 980 Ti's for some benching fun, it will probably be something like an EVGA Classified or similar.

I too switched to MSI from EVGA after ordering this afternoon. It seems better in every way - warranty aside.

I sent a webnote last night asking to change from the EVGA aftermarket cooler to the MSI gaming design. Never a fan of the reference cards.

Just had a look, seems to have both a better cooler and better clocks. But no actual ETA.

Does anyone know when they will be in stock? If it's tomorrow, I'll likely swap too. As it does seem better. I'm just wanting a reference cooler as it will better compliment my cramped case.

Edit: Note, I do not intend on setting any OC profiles. I always prefer plug and play and silence is my highest importance.

Potential noise is putting me off tbh, esp if I get 2.

My current setup is pretty much perfect noise-wise (as in not much of it!!!)




edit - Or I might run all my games in 1440p till Pascal hits. Like I said, cards are pretty much perfect noise/temps wise...
