Been watching some of his other videos.

The copter has a realtime data link to his laptop. He can view stats, its location overlayed on a map and set set waypoints for it to navigate too.

Or you'd see how far away it can go before you lose signal and it floats off in the wind :p

Because it weighs next to nothing that's why it's so amazing. Military/Emergency services units need copters that are heavy duty and also need to carry heavy equipment - the fire services I wrote and installed command software for for example use infrared cameras on their remote control choppers, those things weigh a crap load but the copters themselves are modified versions of off the shelf products.
