I loved Firewatch, fantastic story, a little short, but well worth a play through, i was hooked instantly with it.

The best game I ever played that I remember was Journey on the PS4. Such a soul cleansing game on first experience. Amazing soundtrack.

Do it! It's so nice being able to enjoy it properly maxed out! The game looks utterly incredible, there's plenty of mods available too although I'm not using any on this play through.
Apparently it has Ray tracing now too, although unsure how or even if I can use it on amd.

Even stock looks so good. I'm just exploring not doing any missions just to see the scenery.

Yesterday I came across a man who was wallowing in pain out in the middle of nowhere. Said he'd been bitten so I gave him some meds and he was alright. I imagine he will now owe me one or come into the play at some point later? :D

Also raced a steam train on my horse and jumped onto the train like something out of a movie scene. Great success.

Then took out a number of guards in the carriages only to be killed by one protecting the front. Boo.

Rather fun although I still don't understand half the stuff yet :p

It continues to just blow me away this game, it's the tiny details within it that just make all the difference, both gameplay and graphics wise.
e.g i stopped to get a screenshot in the rain, and noticed that not only is there accurate light reflections in the rain, but it image distorts while looking through it (last screenshot)
Anyway, he's some more screens.

All these RDR2 screenshots look great, I think I posted a load well over a year ago, but these were my favourites.

@mrk Those shots are scary good that you could almost be fooled into thinking it was The Last of Us 2.

The dream is to see Last of Us series come to PC one day. Can you imagine RT lighting in that and ultra-wide?

I played some Alien Isolation recently and lolled at the 300fps+ I was getting. Installed some mods like the 4K planar reflections and shadows as well as revamped Alien behaviour to be more natural/selective and man it's hard. Even sniffs me out in cupboards etc. Best flame thrower in a game I've ever seen since RTCW I think.

Given the industry trends away from single player and the changes at the top in rockstar, it is easy to question whether there will ever be a game quite like this again.

Yes, obviously there will be "prettier" games, but is anyone going to make a game as cinematic? Such a stunning game.

Funny that the first is like the scene from the 1994 film, Interview with the Vampire. Second is like the 2003 film, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Haha, it's true, I've had to switch using Dx12 for the time being on this, vulkan offers more performance but I'm getting some weird issue with memory usage, basically it continues to use vram up until there's nothing left, then crashes.
Something to do with rebar.

Having got back into gaming last winter (like some other old timers I'm sure) I finally completed Red Dead 2. Wow, what a game! Absolutely stunning.

Unfortunately doesn't look half as good on my machine but hey..

*I say completed but there appears to be tons of stuff to do after the epilogue! What's the best guide for legendary animal hunting and crafting etc? I found it all very overwhelming...

I'm in much the same boat, this is my first full play through, I'm trying to do as much as I can with the side quests and random encounters etc.
I've had a few legendary animals, mostly it involves getting some cover scent on and just scouting the areas, fishing is another area I've barely touched on.
I'm currently at 63% though the main story stand spend the majority of my time just roaming about, it's actually really relaxing lol.
