A couple more from Star Citizen, i like these sun set shots, thee atmosphere light scattering is always gorgeous, the first one the sun was just setting when i arrived there, i waited 10 minutes or so for it to drop a little further in the sky to capture those, the planet is Pyro IV.

The second one our crew mate needed to log off for 10 minutes, so we landed in this random place on Stanton I Hurston so he could log off and in a again in his ships bed, we waited for him.

The thing that i always find astonishing about this is that the star you see there is a real entity in space, it is the light source and its millions of KM away, what's more because of Server Meshing you're looking at it across serval servers, few games have Server Meshing, the first was Ultima Online, this is another game by one of Chris Roberts Studios (Origin Systems) its where the term "Shard" was coined, this is to describe an single player instance made up of multiple meshed servers, on top of that being able to see from one server in to another has never been done before, let alone across multiple servers, and you're also able to effect an adjacent server, like shoot across it and kill some one.

1,000 Million $ and 8 years of development work (in its current guise) and counting.....

Well, I've been immersing myself fully into the exploration aspect of Elite Dangerous and I have been enjoying the game so much. Exploration is a great way to see the beauty of the world that Frontier have created, and it's not too bad for money either!

Space dust in the darkest reaches!

I loved the green hue of this planet that I landed on...

Again, the hues and colours of some of these planets is just amazing!

A white star with solar flare. I watched this bubble and form for quite some time before it subsided again...

Managed to grab a lovely view of one of the asteroid rings from the surface!

I liked the juxtaposition of the moon in the backdrop of this pic and had to grab it!

When you've spent loads of time jumping, you learn to appreciate the colour changes!

I'm fairly new to exploration, but on my travels this was the first time I'd seen a planet like this with rings around it.

More space dust in the farthest reaches!

Earth like world discovered!

Geyser eruption on one of the planets that I visited...

Further away view of the geyser...

That horizon!

The light from space breaking into view from the surface!

You can see the same break in space in this shot. That's my new fleet carrier that I'm using as my base of operations for exploration now that I have it.

Managed to set down in a tight area to scan, and when I returned to my ship I noticed the planet in the distance.
