Having fun trying out Little Nightmares III demo. Never played the games before so thought I'd give it a shot.
As this runs Unreal Engine 5, it is not very well optimised. I have an RTX 4090 system and this game, with the simplest of game worlds that are static camera scenes, uses 99% of the GPU at all times leading to a lot of heat and fan noise, not even Battlefield 6 in Overkill at 4K does that. On top of that it cannot run above 100fps with any AA mode, average framerate is 77fps give or take.
I played some of the demo with ultra settings, there is no DLSS/FSR option, just TAA/TSR/FXAA and Off. TSR is not as crisp as TAA, FXAA is obviously soft and off is jaggy, even at 4K. All of them offer sub 80fps on average in Ultra on a 4090. That is outstandingly bad.
Add to that the game has frequent traversal and shader comp stutter every time you enter a new area.
I can only recommend it for the gameplay is quite fun and visually it is pleasing, not graphically "wow", but the artstyle I mean and as a demo. But there is no way I want to play the full game with technical issues like that. For reference, Battlefield 6 runs at over 150fps in the "Overkill" gfx mode at 4K, and that's with 64 players on a server and all the CPU heavy things going on and destruction. There is no excuse in 2025 where a game that has none of those demands on CPU and GPU should be running so poorly.
If you want to run this on higher settings, you will need a high end system.
I'll check my FPS because I never noticed any shader stutter or traversal issues.I have yes,. as a game it's kinda cool and the sound/mechanics are very nice but it has some technical issues with performance for what it vually has to offer but that's UE5 optimisations again I guess.
My take on it from elsewhere:
last time I played Ninja Gaiden was 20+ years ago.
Absolutely love that ship but can't get one now unless they run the expedition again apparently. That is the starborn runner isn't it?![]()
Cool chromatic fog planet I came across on NMS.

Meet up at a space station.
I sell/exchange your ship to an NPC.
Before NPC leaves, your friend talks to them and buys the ship.
Stay close to the Phoenix and make sure that your friend actually got it
Once all is done you can reload the restore point save and you will have yours back without issues
Make sure to don't create a new restore save after landing in the space station or any other place you choose for the exchange
I have no expeditions unclaimed at the anomaly so no way to get it other than some very nice chap trading it.Yeah I found it by accident when I was playing around. I checked some random option about check for rewards in the anomaly and it was available even though I've never done an expedition.
There is a way I can gift you it and also still keep it, nothing untoward.
So you'd still need the funds for it though if course. Though I also saw somewhere where apparently it's free, but I don't see how that can be if you're getting it from an NPC.
Id check the anamoly first though.
