The Holocaust is a Myth

And as was pointed out at the same time the scales were arbitary. If we based the interpretation on you being right wing and anarchist being left wing then most participants were centre-left.

It should also be remembered that a life long tory voter came out as more left wing than a John Smith era labour voter in those tests.

Even more to the point, the left/right scale was not the one causing the real contention (that's the economic scale). It's the liberal/authoritarian scale that determines much of what was under debate.

It's also worth noting that nowhere on either of the sites used did they ever claim the centre of the scale was where the average person sits...

The recent polls showed a significant left wing bias in SC. The vast majority of those who posted a score sat way left of center. Their political views are very much to the left of the average person.
However if someone does mention how far left they are they do get annoyed about it. Indeed they consider themselves moderate but appear to be far from it.
that is little short of absurd. I read virtually nothing but right wing rubbish in sc and I feel that the more moderate posters can be counted on one hand.

You read nothing but right wing posts in comparison to what you personally feel. They were right of you perhaps.
However the truth is that there are not that many right wing posters in SC, there are a lot of left wing ones though. However as you agree with most of the left wing stuff you tend to forget just how much of it there is.
As usual though I see you feel that anything that is right fo where you sit is rubbish ....

If you take another look it details quite well various historical figures and where they sit from Hitler, Thatcher, Stalin etc through to Gandhi. With these figures sitting fairly close to the extremes and opposites of each other it does map out the middle ground rather well.
Lets not forget we had posters who were more left wing than Stalin and more liberal then Gandhi.

Meh, tbh on what ground does an Iranian have the right to even suggest the notion that the holocaust was made up? Hitler had a huge hate of the Jews, his hate of the USSR demonstrated this. Imo its a load of biased BS.

and you have the temerity to accuse me of bickering and insulting posts.. ffs.

Every single post you make you are trying to pick a fight with someone.

And actually on topic.. political compass is a gimmick, and shows little of a persons attitudes imo.

I am not the only poster in the last 2 days to ask you why you are being so aggressive and hostile or to point it out. Myself, Sleepy and Otacon have all mentioned it.
Nothing in my post was insulting, if it was please demonstrate how.
If not then why lay yet another meaningless accusation at me (again).
Again your opinion is that political compass is a gimmick, that doesn't mean that it actually is a gimmick, to paraphrase you "that is nothing short of absurd, everything that you have posted about it is rubbish".

Going by your profile you are far too busy emulating black american gansters to be overly concerned about Jews or English people going to wales - sorry da ghetto.

Hmm Yes got me on that one fella. Should remember to change my profile once in a while eh. :(
I did post a few afterwards, fao cleanbluesky, it sort of explains why i said it in that manner in a long roundabout way. I recall at the time of the post the discussion been more on the lines of The Iranian pres. been a silly sod...

Let alone i think hes a madman and the way he put this is highly well how can i say it... moronic. He does have a point. Why split a country into 2 (palestine) and give half of it to the jews when they had no hand whatsoever in the holocaust.

Its like someone who lives in liverpool and their house got burned down and i had to give half of my house up so they could live there without even consulting me then yeah of course you would be miffed.

But hes just doing this cause Iran hates Israel, and vice versa. Tis down to a clash in religions and cultural diversities.

Some people might disagree with what i say but its my opinion and im entitled to it and its not racist or inappropriate.

Sorry if it seems like people are ganging up on you but I must say I have also noticed that you've been particularly aggressive recently ;) So for you to say the above made me giggle :D

Hehe I noticed that too ;) Persoanlly I like the pride Wales has in itself. Not been there for about 6 months but Wales is proud of its roots, its history and its culture. Good on the Welsh.

Its funny how the Welsh, Scottish and Irish can be proud of their roots but when you English people show you are proud then you're being racist.

Because (and this applies to the boring "WHAT IF WHITE PEOPLE STARTED A WHITE AWARDS FOR WHITE PEOPLE" argument) - the UK, with its economy, culture and politics, is anglo-centric (or England-centric) - hence, vive la difference ;)

So I'm saying you dont need to celebrate the "english" way of life as thats all that people think about 99% of the time anyway :)

Do many people actually think this, though? I'd be the first to admit that despite being as English as Yorkshire pud, I'm not really proud of my heritage. Not that I don't respect the achievements of our ancestors in some areas - I just don't see why I have the right to take personal pride in their achievements.

Despite that (fairly extreme?) view though, I would never label someone as racist if they wanted to celebrate their heritage. That would just be stupid.

I take great pride in being English. I have awesome respect for all those that gave their lives to protect England during the second World War, that goes to all white, black, Muslim and any other person that sacrificed their life to keep us English.

Even Hitler couldn't break Brittish pride.

Because that's not what happened, that's modern myth. Before 1917 Palestine didn't exist as a country. After 1917 the area existed as an area to create both the states of Palestine and Israel, but it was administered by Britain. Palestine became a country at the same time as Israel. The Iranian leader is just playing on the lack of historical knowledge most people have surrounding this situation.
