Nah bro, he's a door handle - landing in trees, as he did, illustrated this.
but I've just come away thinking that dude is a complete ****.
im pretty sure they would have studied the glide slope and ensured no randoms were walking about. Imagine if u were having abit of fun up a mountain with ur lady and that flew past. Lol!
my thoughts exactly, what he did was pretty cool, but he was definately unhinged at the most basic level
I hope so, but some of these EXTREME sports people can be right inconsiderate 'holes imo.

This dude is a human jet(Warning: video may contain swearys)

Awesome programme.
I've only done a handful of base jumps but never a base wingsuit jump. It's a fantastic experience.
As for the danger to others, there is hardly any danger to others it's not a selfish sport or mentality, but unless you do it you will never understand what it's about. Even after 500+ jumps I'm still a veritable n00b compared to so many people - I had to give it up because a) I was starting to push the boundaries and needed more to give me that thrill b) it was expensive c) I had other hobbies I wanted to do.
However this sort of thing, with the technology getting as it is, is allowing us to push the boundaries of human flight - it's absolutely incredible and awesome. People just don't realise the amount of control you have over a wingsuit, or when you're falling through the sky - you almost feel like you can fly - it's a wonderful feeling.
He wasn't a **** - you just don't understand the mentality of extreme sports enthusiasts. He's not going out to kill himself, but to push the boundaries and set new challenges etc... It's no different to any other record breaking attempt or thrill seekers... some people drive too fast, some people like to take drugs, some like to gamble... he likes to push his skills to the limit. It's incredible.
I know to al ot of you he may have come across as selfish, arrogant etc... but I can assure you it's not like that all - you have to understand it's a completely different way of life and a different concept of living.
Extreme sports and thrills become ingrained into your body/soul - it's a hard habit to crack from. In fact since I've stopped doing silly extreme sports I've become much more in touch with my mortality - I used to really be oblivious about it. Sure I still ride my motorbikes and fast cars, and do silly stunts from time to time - but I know the consequences a lot more than I used to.
Anyway, I love this ****. It's beyond cool. And good on him for acheiving his goal.![]()
Well seeing as the bloke was suicidal! didnt you watch the beginning of the programme? instead of leaping to his death, he thought he would make use of of it by not dying and turn it into an extreme sport. He's still alive isnt he?
Can't be doing too bad.

Are you qualified as an instructor? or just a qualified skydiver?
I would love the chance to experience freefalling at some point in my life, and if I had the money, take it up as a hobby.
I have obviously since, lost my rating as an instructor.
I've seen that video before, the guy gets absolutely shredded on the cables. It was like he went through a cheesewire at close to 150mph!![]()
