The Humble Indie Bundle (pay what you want)

World of goo rocks. Had it before but had to format. Penumbra is very atmospheric, and I've yet to try the others.

Just got this

Dear Humble Bundle supporter,

I have a small announcement you might be interested in. This morning, I was talking to fellow indie studio Amanita Design. They wanted to donate to the Humble Indie Bundle too -- but in a unique way. They decided to donate their award-winning, cross-platform game, Samorost 2, to the bundle! It is really a great game, and I encourage you to go download it on your updated Humble Bundle key page.

Here is your unique key URL so you don't have to look it up:

Please consider telling your friends about this awesome new contribution to the Humble Bundle!

The response to this bundle has been incredible! Take a look at the real-time statistics box next time you are on the page. I am truly... humbled.

Just spent my life savings on this (well.... $15 ;)), thats my kids birthdays sorted for the next few years :D

Had a go on Samorost 2 this morning, not a big fan to be honest.
Even though it runs in fullscreen, the resolution is pretty low, making it sometimes hard to see objects to click.
I think I'll stick with *** and Aquaria for now :)

Nevertheless, was very kind of the devs to add the game for us.

Just a quick bump as I just bought it and there is only 9 hours left. Still downloading Penumbra which looks interesting but apparently you can buy the whole Penumbra collection for $5 if you have bought the Humble Bundle.

Just got in on this before it closes. Only paid a very small amount however if its good im going to re buy as a gift above the average cost for a friend.

edit: just realised small amount sounded as bad as the 1 cent donations its no where near that low!

$27,000 under the million dollar mark, and just under 2 hours left on the deal! If you haven't bought this already go donate $5 right now.

It's over $1 million! They found an excuse to keep it open for another 3 days lol, can't blame em. Very excited about the ability to see the source code for those games, could learn a lot for my gaming course at uni :D.

Activate the Humble Indie Bundle on Steam

Activate the Humble Indie Bundle on Steam
By John Graham on December 9th, 2010

About 6 months ago we tried out a modest promotion called the Humble Indie Bundle. Thanks to everyone's support, we raised nearly 1.3 million dollars for independent video games and charity. There were about 140,000 bundles purchased. While customers can always download the games directly on the Humble Bundle page, the most frequently asked question was "Can I activate my bundle of games on Steam?".

Well, we've been diligently talking to Valve about this, and as of today, we are happy to announce that YES, your Humble Indie Bundle can be activated on Steam! Just go to your Humble Bundle page (click here if you forgot your key) and you should see your unique Steam key listed at the top.

Once you have retrieved your Humble Bundle Steam key, you should be able to follow these steps to activate your games on Steam.

On Mac OS X, it's really easy. Just launch Steam and choose "Activate a Product on Steam" from the menu.

A MASSIVE heads up for anyone who donated for this back in May.

Also, Humble Bundle 2 may possibly be on its way :)

Awesome work for all involved in doing this and I guess Valve who will giving away bandwidth and other resources for free.

I got a nice email from them with my code to activate it on Steam :D Simply cut and paste into 'Activate a product on Steam' and you're away. :)

If only other companies were as cool as this :p
