The humble London bus is crap, MPs acknowledge

What's stopping buses being viable:
Infrequent service
Routes that meander randomly through housing estates that you have no interest in visiting
Stops that take ages as a queue of people count out spare change
Uncomfortable buses - the ladder chassis design with rock solid suspension needs to go
Cramped seats - no one wants to sit on a strangers lap
Getting stuck in the same traffic you would be if driving, while also having to suffer the above.

Fix the first 5 and you might find the last one also gets fixed.

Stop cash payments.

Fixed one for you.

Everybus should be trackable on a app not sure if that's the case or not. So you know if the damm thing is actaully on its way or zoomed past the stop.

Count yourself lucky if you have a bus.

There is no bus service where i live, there was one you could book to come and get you but they are even finishing with that with no word of a replacement solution.

And I pay well over £2000 council tax and they do nothing here, they dont grit the road, there is no public transport and they dont fix the pot holes.

Aren't the majority of bus trips all capped at £2 now?

You can go really far on some buses for £2. It is excellent value on the non local ones. I'd like to see a cap on daily train prices too. If you are taking the train instead of driving, you are doing the country a favour by not clogging up the roads. Obviously the cap price would be more expensive.
