Have searched and didn't see a thread which I'm surprised over!

Went to watch this over the weekend, absolutely brilliant film. Can't really define it into a category, it's almost like a diary/documentary, but a great story.

Anyone else watched this yet?

Watched it on Friday, fantastic film, amazingly gritty and realistic, and it's heart-stoppingly tense at times. Some fantastic acting too.

It's like a diary because that's pretty much what it is, it was made from the accounts of an embedded journalist.

Who was he? Totally missed that cameo.

Great film I thought, well film and held me in suspense serveral times in the film.

He was the lead British Soldier in the middle of the desert - the "Snipers in the building" (won't say what happened to avoid spoilers, but he was the first one they came across and asked to remove his scarf)

Enjoyed watching it I must admit it, although it wasn't as good as I had expected. The levels of tension were good though, I had that feeling of always waiting for something to happen.

*** stars out of 5.

Think I'm going to have to watch it again then. Would be rude not too.

It was fantastic, and the action was well paced as its on for 2hrs you are on the edge of your seat the whole time. :D

Yeah, PMC team leader. Cool that they were mostly brits as well.

Loved the film, some great characters and suspense.

The only part I thought was weird was when the snipers in the building shot all the Brits first time but then couldn't hit the Americans who were sat still for ages.

Good film but the bit with the british was stupid, typical hollywood portraying the british as useless and scared why the yanks are here to save the day.

Great film!! :D

I thoroughly enjoyed it - was a bit worried at first when I realised Guy Pearce was in it but it wasnt a problem for long! ;)

"TEAM AMERICA, .... YEAH "

Why were they scared? The team leader (Fiennes) almost got riddled with bullets because of his strange accent.
Don't forget, they were doing alright before the yanks showed up. Not a bullet went there way whilst they were stranded there under the enemy's eyes. Suddenly, Team America show up, and suddenly half the PMCs are down.

Bet they didn't get their tyre sorted out either.

;)

Thought it was awful.

Poor acting, poor script, boring story and some ridiculous set pieces/events.

Thought the main character was lame too: couldn't act and couldn't pull of this role convincingly at all.

2/10.
