The impossible question

Do quite like these too, again though never driven one - my only experience was a neighbour who would regularly complain about his ONE rusting, whilst at the same time leaving it outside and never cleaning it.
Certainly worth a test drive of one if you're after a smaller/cheaper car - the running costs are obviously far more sensible than the Porsches, R8s etc that have been mentioned.

With regards to rusting - certainly not an issue I've heard of - even my much older R56 (15 years old) hasn't had any issues

Could never have one purely because the internal front is so horrid. That big circle in the centre is :puke:

If you want a 911 then aim for a 997 Gen 2 S with PDK.

More miles will get you close to your budget, but get it checked out first. Comes with 911 running costs of course, but a good one will look after you. Not super quick by modern standards, not modern tech as 17-18 years old, but still a fantastic car to drive, still special. Boxster too is epic, seek a flat 6 S over a 2.5 flat 4 would be my suggestion.

TBH the thread could've been closed after the 2nd reply. OG M2 and Caterham are the only 2 options here ;)

M2 is much more involving than a TTRS, but an Evora is a good shout. Exige too raw?
