Well, the American "Office" is a damn site more funny, poignant and sharply written than the British "The Office", so maybe not all shows, eh?

Wrong. The American version is terrible. They can't do Comedy like us Brits...that's why they steal all our shows.
And as for American 'comedy sitcoms' and I use the term very loosely, well you can keep them for me
The Yanks are just arrogant and think that they can do it better. We show their tv shows in the original format...they should do the same.

Rant over ;)

That's some pretty harsh criticism, there have been some awesome US shows - Arrested Development and Curb spring to mind in recent years. From the sound of things you seem just a arrogant about comedy as the "yanks" you slate in your post.

I disagree, the US version of The Office might not be the same type of humour (ie, cringeful) as the UK version bit IMO the US version is a damn sight funnier!

How the hell did I miss out on this!?!? My gf has just got me into it and Im hooked. Saw Series 1 & 2 DVD on offer for £10 at the supermaket so snapped it up. Loving it! Its going to make my next 2 weeks off sick a lot less boring.

Have sat and watched this the last two days at work. Just watched upto the 2nd episode of the 2nd series. Absolutely hilarious, don't know how I missed this the first time.

Already cannot wait for the film and series 3 which they have just started shooting :)

They are supposed to be doing a film on the 4 boys going on holiday to Magaluf.

"In September 2009, Beesley and Morris confirmed that a film had been commissioned by Film4 and the story will revolve around the four lads going on holiday to Magaluf. The creators also stated that Simon Bird (Will) and Joe Thomas (Simon) had written a script for the film which was said to be "annoyingly funnier" than theirs.
