I sometimes get his error warning message a few times a day and by clicking the OK button I loose all my open surfing windows.

Any idea what might be casing the problem ?

Is your memory overclocked at all? aggressive timings?

Most likely caused by unstable RAM.

Try running memtest.

Eek. Shut down XP before it rapes your install. Last time I messed about with the timings all hell broke loose and I needed to format

My other sticks (2x1gb) did that, these seem not so bad though (2x512).

Really need to RMA them :\
