The internet has ruined Aliens for me

Alien³ always had better characters and a really good story, I reckon if they didn't have all the scripting and studio problems it would've been a great film.

I'd agree with you - until I saw the Special Edition version of Alien3. Thought that was much better.

However - I've now got 3 versions. :cool:

Legacy, Quadrilogy and Alien Head Quadrilogy - which is very cool.

I was happy paying £60 for Quadrilogy - but £20 is a total bargain!

i'd say that you don't have to blame the internet. VeNT ruined that for me. just because i don't think he's posted once without using that phrase in some context.

Aye. He's very lucky 1 don can't permaban without a couple of others agreeing.

he did get smacked down in one thread though where I called him on it and he stuck up for it saying others found it funny. Turned out everyone was getting annoyed by it. And they all told him so

I cant watch either Alien3 or Resurection.

They are complete garbage.
I wouldnt even be tempted by a directors cut of of 3, as i dont like the whole premiss of the film anyhow.

Alien and Aliens are two of the greatest films ever made.

Is the Quadrilogy worth getting if you already have the Legacy set?

Don't suppose anyone knows if theres anywhere that lists whats on the Quadrilogy set thats not on the Legacy?

Quadrilogy has 2 versions of each film and an abundance of extras. It has the usual commentaries and loads of concept art. If you're into that kind of stuff it's definitely worth it; if not, get it anyway for the directors cuts and sell the Legacy set.

Even better: find an unwitting mug to sell the Legacy set to for £25, and then nip down to HMV and pick up the quadrilogy in the sale. He gets what he thinks is a good deal, and you make a fiver and get to upgrade your DVDs. Everyone's a winner

Edit: I'd like to add that the case that the DVDs come in smells fantastic. It kind of smells like plastic cement, that stuff that you use to glue plastic to plastic. It smells of new DVDs. I think it might be worth buying just to get this smell.

Get over yourself, dude. I couldn't stand Alien 3...I rated it below The Matrix (quite a feat in itself)...But I watched the full version and OMFGTHEHPWN!

I love Micheal Beihn dude.

Seeing him dead................................ its emotional.

In Terminator, he dies trying to save the woman he loves.

In Alien3 he gets killed because of budget constraints, the humanity!
