The joys of owning a nice car...

I don't see the problem with the nice car comment.

My mates always wind me up about my car being crap/the slowest model etc etc

As mentioned, it's not the car that gets targeted, it's the person who owns it but they take it out on the car because it's the most cowardly way to go about /making a statement/ to themselves. My car got vandalised the very first week I got it in the poshest estate at the then place of work there is (Chilworth).

People are unbelievable, scum exist in all social classes.

Vandalism and lack of respect for other people's property are pet peeves of mine. Sorry to see the damage to your car OP.

Looks like you have a decent vantage point there for a camera?

Obviously somebody who doesn't have the **** to come & have a go at you to your face, ******.

I expect that that scratch could polish out.

I would have loved to see their face when they stabbed your tyre, and it didn't go flat :p

It's a decent enough car isn't it? We don't all drive veyrons now do we?

But yeh, it's not really the sort of car that attracts vandals usually.

People who do this are pure scum anyway :(

To the op it probably is a nice car, to me it'd be a nice car too, all completely irrelevant to this thread though.

I'd personally look at some sort of CCTV of my own, plenty of IR ones kicking about now.

Its nice to the O/P, thats all that counts. No need at all for the snotty comments.

Sometimes this sort of thing makes me want to forget all the washing, polishing waxing etc, and just drive an old cheap shed.

Thanks for some of the decent relevant comments, I've ordered some CCTV so if it does happen again hopefully they will be identifiable and especially so if it's the ex house-mate of mine.

As for the ridiculous comments about me calling it a 'nice car', **** you. I've only ever had 2 sub £300 cars and this being my 3rd car and to me cost a me considering amount of time and money saving up and buying with cash. I knew what I wanted, saved up, found what I wanted and bought it.

Of-course those making irrelevant comments about how nice it is all drive cars that cost the earth and what you might consider 'nice' but others might not.

Cameras arrived and will be up tomorrow. Have decided to replace the tyres with what I bought a few weeks ago. If it happens again I just hope the ****** is identifiable on the footage.

Bad news OP, feel for ya having had my car mirrors kicked in before.

But... to be fair, you did buy the wrong BMW.

Should have bought this one TBH:
