Interesting video though didn't really explain why it was round, yes know the diameter you know its volume but that is like saying if you know the length of one side of a cube you know its volume.
I thought it was pretty common knowledge it started life as a litre of water. Though if you didn't know that you should look how a metre came about cause that was a bit harder to measure lol.
