The kid can certainly thump tubs!

lol, prog/jazz is the only place you'll find drummers like that. it would be a waste if he was in anything else!

Jazz rocks

Not true, Prog and Jazz is the only place where those skills fit. :p

That kid makes me look like a sweaty ham fisted retard. :(

Whilst I cannot appreciate the drums as an enjoyable listening experience, he clearly has talent.

Though the start just sounded like noise. Like most Jazz.
God it's awful stuff Jazz.

Quoted for the sheer unadulterated truth :(

The kid certainly had some chops then, simply amazing stuff. I watch Tommy Igoe and others now and think 'wow' but looking at Tony Jr. when he was 12 just defies belief.

So, so cool

t3h

This was posted a while ago on here too, I remember seeing it. He's pretty good.

You what!? Jazz sounds like noise? Well, in that, it's full of beautiful instrument playing, then I guess it could be called noise. Jazz is one of the most amazing genres of music, and where a lot of the most skillful musicians are involved. See John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk, Oscar Petersen...the list goes on...

call me crazy but this proves nothing, he's got the chops, its a crap drum solo though since Neil Peart pwns him at drum solos. Maybe if he was playing in a band situation we can say he is good

I knew it.
I absolutely knew that somebody would come on here and say a 53 year old drummer is better than a 12 year old kid.
Sometimes I despair.
