The Kings International Gauntlet 2007

http://forum.seti.nl/showthread.php?t=14210

This is a SETI crunching competition made up of teams from around the world. OcUK participated in 2005, and we would like to get as many crunching as possible again this year :)

The specifics like the dates and exact teams are still to be decided. In 2005 the gauntlet ran from Monday 21st Feb and ended Monday 14th March, a period of 3 weeks. Teams were (and probably still are) 20-30 crunchers. If we come up with more than that we will form 2 or more teams of equal numbers. If it comes to that I would personally like to have one "1st Team" comprising of the strongest members. That can be discussed later on.

In response to this thread, here is where you can sign up. A simple "I'm in" will do, or even better, leave some details about the machines which will be participating. CPU and clock speed, amount of memory, and the amount of time each machine will be on.

Can we keep this thread tidy please? Chat can go in the other thread. Ta :)

E6300 @3.2 1gig ram
E6300 @ (just shy of) 3.2 1gig ram.

I can contribute if the credits are boinc wide and not just SETI. I don't get involved with that Origami business. :p

Not much grunt I grant you. I was getting about 2500(RAC~120) a month before Christmas hols and Einsteins dodgy scheduler hurt my stats. :(

1x Dual Xeon 2.8 @ 3.2Ghz :D

I'm in.

1 x Prescott 3.0ghz, 512mB memory (24/7)
1 x Dothan 1.73ghz, 512mB memory (laptop so between 16-18 hours weekdays, 24 weekends)

1 x Celeron 2.4ghz, 512mB memory (24/7)
1 x Sempron 3000+, 512mB memory (24/7)
1 x Celeron 2.0ghz, 256mB memory (possibility, as it's my server) (24/7 ofc) (runs Debian Etch headless, I assume it's reasonably easy to get BOINC working on this)
2 x PIII 1.0ghz, 256mB (dual cpu rig so memory shared between cores) (24/7) (runs Debian Etch headless too)

null :D

Im in although it looks like ill be off the first team at the moment with my lowly 4400 @ stock on 24/7

Adding my name to the list, however I cannot post a list of what I'll have available at the moment.

I will update this post as and when I know.

It depends what and when, but if I'm around to make the switchover, then...

In. Everything.

Think I've got as far as I'm going with F@h so time to look for something new for a while.

Count me in :)

1 x P4 3.6GHz, 1GB, usually 12-18 hours average

Running an optimised client, if that makes any difference...

EDIT: Have had to remove t'other rig for the forseeable future, so only got one available now :(
