The Killer | Netflix

The mrs has been away this weekend so I had a bit of a film fest
Watched this 6/10
And
The Gentlemen and The Wrath of Man............... What a load of ****. Has Guy Richie forgotten how to make a half decent film

Just watched this on the plane earlier.

I was hoping it was going to build to something, but it just didn't find any more gears after two thirds of the way through.

Bit surprised he killed that woman and kicked her down the stairs so quickly!

Could be worse... could have watched Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre... even the name alone is ****. I think he is just phoning them in now.

Sounds like the film is skippable from the comments in this thread.

Netflix seems to always get the big actors on board, sometimes even good directors, but always end up making a stinker that everyone forgets in a few months. Often the trailers end up being better than the movie!

A few successful memorable films , but not many in the grander scheme of things.

I enjoyed it. Didnt feel the end dropped off really there has been worse films for that.

Solid 8/10 points for not being an exact copy.

Thought it was okay but not really understanding the praise its getting.

As someone said above - it thinks its way cleverer than it actually is. Fairly bog standard revenge thriller with an added voice over.

6/10

I was hoping for more as David Fincher is one of my favourite directors. Found the voice over and excessive use of The Smiths distracting. And as others have mentioned it just fizzles out. The ending is extremely lacklustre.

Did enjoy the fight at the house though. Pretty visceral.

Finally watched it last night, very slow to get going, whoever had the soundtrack detail must really love The Smiths.

Thought it might pick up towards the end when Tilda Swinton appeared but it fizzled out.

The above sums it up perfectly. After watching the trailer (probably also because of the title) I was expecting various hits and it just turned into a revenge plot.
